English Grammar: Don't / Doesn't Have Questions

Hi, everybody.

In this video we're going to learn negatives with 'have' and 'has'.

このビデオでは 、'have' と 'has' を使ったネガを学習します。

Now this is also pretty easy.

これもかなり簡単です。

You just have to remember everything that I wrote. Okay?

私が書いたことをすべて覚えておいてください。 わかった？

So let's take a look at the board.

それでは、ボードを見てみましょう。

Okay. First, for 'I', we use "I don't have".

わかった。 まず、「I」には「I don't have」を使います。

Remember, "don't" is a contraction for "do not".

「don't」は「do not」の短縮形です。

"I don't have".

「持っていません」。

For 'he', 'she', and 'it', we use "doesn't have".

「彼」、「彼女」、「それ」については、「doesn't have」を使用します。

'Doesn't' is a contraction for 'does not'.

「does't」は「does not」の短縮形 です。

"He doesn't have....".

「彼は持っていません....」。

"She doesn't have...".

「彼女は持っていません...」。

"It doesn't have..."

「it doesn't have...」

Now on the bottom, for 'you', 'we', 'they', it's the same as 'I'.

下 の「you」、「we」、「they」は「I」と同じです。

We use 'don't have'.

「ない」を使います。

"You don't have...." "We don't have...",

「あなたは…を持っていません」 「私たちは…を持っていません」、

and "They don't have...".

そして「彼らは…を持っていません」。

So let's look at these pictures.

それでは、これらの写真を見てみましょう。

Remember we have a rabbit and a carrot.

うさぎとにんじんがいることを思い出してください。

So we said "It has a carrot."

それで「にんじんが入っています」と言いました。

Okay. But we're doing negatives so we have to say,

"It doesn't have a cake."

Okay

Now here we have the ants and an apple.

So we said "They have an apple." Okay.

But for this banana, here we have to say,

"They don't have a banana."

Okay let's move on to some more practice.

Okay. Now let's try this practice with the negatives 'doesn't have' and 'don't have' together.

Now this is a little easy because we know that the second word is 'have'.

All you have to think is should we use 'doesn't' or 'don't'.

Okay so I'm just gonna put 'have' here first. Okay.

The correct answer is 'don't'.

"I don't have a wife."

「人」

Remember, if we have more than one person, animal, or thing, we have to think of 'they'.

人、動物、または物が複数ある場合、「彼ら」を考えなければならないことを思い出してください。

For 'they', do we use 'don't' or 'doesn't'?
