'choose' and 'lose'.

Now let's have a look and a few sentences.

এখন এর একটি চেহারা এবং কয়েক বাক্য আছে.

First, I made my choice.

প্রথমত, আমি আমার পছন্দ করেছি।

I choose spaghetti.

আমি স্প্যাগেটি বেছে নিই।

Now the verb 'choose' as you know,

এখন ক্রিয়াপদ 'choose' যেমন আপনি জানেন,

.... and means making a choice.

.... এবং মানে একটি পছন্দ করা।

And the spelling is with double-o. Okay?

আর বানান হলো double-o দিয়ে। ঠিক আছে?

There are two O's in the verb 'choose' - present tense.

'choose' ক্রিয়াপদে দুটি O আছে - বর্তমান কাল।

'I chose pasta, yesterday.'

'আমি গতকাল পাস্তা বেছে নিয়েছি।'

Now the difference is now it's past tense.

এখন পার্থক্য হল এখন অতীত কাল।

And the verb in its past form only has one 'o' and it's pronounced 'chose'.

এবং ক্রিয়াপদটির অতীত ফর্মে শুধুমাত্র একটি 'ও' আছে এবং এটি 'চোজ' উচ্চারিত হয়।

Okay, so 'choose' - present tense.

ঠিক আছে, তাই 'পছন্দ করুন' - বর্তমান কাল।

'chose' - past tense.

'নির্বাচিত' - অতীত কাল।

But then if we take the second sentence and we say,

So there's only one 'o' but it's pronounced lose.

This is the past form of 'lose' - 'lost'.

Okay so try and remember -

So two 'O's - one 'O'.
