Heel, Heal, He'll

A student recently wrote in to ask about the  words, heel, like in the heel of your foot,  

최근 한 학생이 발꿈치, 발뒤꿈치처럼,

heal, like get better, and he’ll, like he will.  Are these pronounced the same? The first two,  

치유, 나아질 것 같은 단어에 대해 질문하기 위해 글을 올렸습니다. 이것들은 같은 발음인가요? 처음 두 개는

yes. The second one, sometimes. So these first  two words, their pronunciation doesn't change,  

네. 두 번째는 가끔. 그래서 이 처음 두 단어의 발음은 변하지 않지만,

but the contraction “he will”, that pronunciation  can change and often does. Because it's less  

축약형 "he will"은 그 발음이 변할 수 있고 자주 변합니다. 덜

important it may reduce in a sentence. So instead  of saying, “He'll be here soon”, you'll hear a lot  

중요하기 때문에 한 문장으로 줄일 수 있습니다. 따라서 "곧 오실 거예요"라고 말하는 대신

of people say, “He'll be here soon.” “He  will”, “he’ll”, reducing to [həl].

'곧 오실 거예요'라는 말을 많이 듣게 될 것입니다. “그는 할 것이다”, “그는”, [həl]로 줄입니다.

He'll be here soon. He'll be here soon.

그는 곧 올 것입니다. 그는 곧 여기 올거야.
