NBC Commentator uses the WRONG word | Learn Vocabulary #SHORTS

I was watching the Olympics last  night, and the commentator used the wrong word.

Ieri sera stavo guardando le Olimpiadi e il commentatore ha usato la parola sbagliata.

“She is incredible adapt at  going big.”

"È incredibilmente adatta ad andare alla grande".

He said ‘adapt’, which is

a verb. He meant ‘adept’, an adjective.  ADEPT – very skilled, proficient. This 

un verbo. Voleva dire "esperto", un aggettivo. ADEPT – molto abile, abile. Questa

person was an adept snowboarder, a  very skilled snowboarder. So that’s 

persona era un abile snowboarder, uno snowboarder molto abile. Quindi è

‘adept’ with the EH vowel. But what he  said was ‘adapt’, with the AA vowel.

Now, that’s a verb, and it means  ‘to make suitable to requirements or
