Today's English lesson, is grammar about the simple past.

The simple past is used to talk about a completed action,

Regular simple past is formed like this,

In the simple past, there are regular and irregular verbs.

Ask, asked, he asked.

There are three different ending sounds. T, D, and I.D.

Like, k ending sound, liked.

ਪਸੰਦ ਹੈ, ਕੇ ਅੰਤ ਵਾਲੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼, ਪਸੰਦ ਹੈ.

Use "id" ending sound if the end of the verb has a t,d

"Id" ਅੰਤ ਵਾਲੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰੋ ਜੇ ਕਿਰਿਆ ਦੇ ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ t, d ਹੈ

ending sound.

For example, need, needed.

Use d ending sound if the end of the verb

D ਦੀ ਅੰਤ ਵਾਲੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰੋ ਜੇ ਕਿਰਿਆ ਦਾ ਅੰਤ

has any other ending sound except t,d,p,f,sh,ch,k.

t, d, p, f, sh, ch, k ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਖਤਮ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਹੈ.

For example: play, played.

ਉਦਾਹਰਣ ਲਈ: ਖੇਡੋ, ਖੇਡਿਆ ਗਿਆ.

Allow, allowed.

ਆਗਿਆ, ਆਗਿਆ ਹੈ.

Beg, begged.

ਭੀਖ, ਬੇਨਤੀ.

Show, showed.

ਦਿਖਾਓ, ਦਿਖਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ.
