mother's day let's get started today we will talk  about a few different aspects of mother's day so

before we talk about mother's day traditions  let's look at some mother's day vocabulary

today let's look at the five words gratitude  appreciate cherish generous and tenacious

the first word is gratitude gratitude is a  noun which means the quality of being thankful

most often we hear it used in the word grateful  which is the adjective form of gratitude  

so instead of saying thank you i might say  i'm grateful for you or i'm grateful to you  

so let's take a look at how we might  use the words gratitude or grateful

when talking about our mother's or  mother's day i have so much gratitude

for my mother this means i have so much of  a feeling of being of thankfulness for my  

mother i am grateful to her i have gratitude  for her i am so grateful for her love and care

notice that when we use the word grateful we often  say i'm grateful for something i'm grateful for  

her love and care i'm grateful for uh  the way that she raised me right so

here are first words gratitude and grateful  just a different way to express thankfulness

cherish means to protect and care for someone  lovingly and often we use cherish to mean that we

let's review our words for today so the  first three words gratitude appreciate and  

cherish are all words we might use to  show our thankfulness and how much we care

you might tell your mother that you are  grateful for her that you appreciate what
