Learn English Phrasal Verbs about Cooking and Eating

Hello students. Today’s video is  phrasal verbs about cooking and eating.

In this lesson, I will introduce several  phrasal verbs about cooking and eating

The first phrasal verb is Pig out. Pig out means  to eat a large amount of food. Have a look at

this guy. He is pigging out on hamburgers.  Here’s an example of a short conversation. 

この男を見てください。 彼はハンバーガーを食べています。 短い会話の例を次に示します。

A: What are you going to do tonight?  Do you want to go to a concert? 

A: 今夜は何をしますか。 コンサートに行きたいですか？

B: No, I want to have a lazy evening. I’ll  probably watch Netflix and pig out on some pizza.  

B: いいえ、怠惰な夜を過ごしたいです。 おそらく、Netflix を見て、ピザを食べます。

You could ask Danny. Maybe  he wants to go to a concert.

The next phrasal verb about cooking  and eating is: Pick at. Pick at

means to eat only small amounts of a meal. Danny usually just picks at his meal. Here’s

Another phrasal verb about cooing and  eating is: Whip Up. Whip up means to quickly

make a meal or something to eat. He whipped  up a delicious meal for us in 15 minutes.

Here’s a conversation example: A: Well, I’m hungry but we don’t have

The next phrasal verb about cooking and  eating is Fry up. Fry up means to cook  

料理と食べることに関する次の句動詞 は Fry up です。 Fly up は、何かを揚げて調理することを意味し

something by frying. Frying is to cook food  in some kind of oil. Let’s fry some eggs up

The last phrasal verb is eat up. Eat up means  to eat all of something. Eat up! We’ve got to
