Difference between SHALL and WILL - English Grammar Rules

We're going to focus on SHALL and WILL.

Shall I close the door?

Cierro la puerta? ¿

Will we open the window?

Abrimos la ventana?

The good news, really good news is that you can do this without thinking.

La buena noticia, muy buena noticia, es que puedes hacer esto sin pensar.

You can SHALL or WILL exactly the same.

Puedes HACER o HARÁS exactamente lo mismo. ¿

Shall I go to the shop?

Voy a la tienda? ¿

Will I go to the shop?

Iré a la tienda? ¿

Shall I open the window?

Abro la ventana? ¿

Will I open the window?

Abriré la ventana?

Exactly the same.

Exactamente lo mismo.

Some people think that SHALL is a little more polite.

Algunas personas piensan que SHAL es un poco más cortés.

And in good English it probably is.

Y en buen inglés probablemente lo sea.

But remember we only use SHALL with I and WE.

Shall I?

Debo?

Shall we?If we want to use other pronouns like he or she or they or you only use them

with WILL.
