Holiday Returns and Exchanges | English Vocabulary

Starting the day after Christmas, Americans make  returns and exchanges. When you make a return,  

you either get your money back or in-store credit  to buy something new. When you make an exchange,  

you get the same thing in a different size or  color. In the past, we had to stand in line  

in the stores where the items were bought.  Today much of our shopping is done online,  

so we handle returns and exchanges electronically.  Sometimes, especially with smaller packages,  

you can simply put it in your mailbox, and  they'll pick it up for you. Other times,  

you have to print out a new shipping  label and then take your package to a  

drop off location. You get a receipt, and  then you'll receive a refund as soon as
