The first word you should remove is try.

Because it's disempowering, it lacks  commitment, and it sounds weak.

This doesn't sound like  you've made a true commitment.

So instead use stronger words  that show that you're committed,

You can use will or commit to.

When you say will, you're making a commitment.

Well, what's the problem with the word advices?

It's grammatically incorrect.

The word does not exist in English because  the word advice is always singular.

Now there are many grammar  mistakes that you can make

and most native speakers won't even notice them.

But if you say advices to a native  speaker, they will instantly

think your English isn't very fluent.

Advice is always singular and this  is to emphasize singular or plural.

So you can say that's a great piece of advice if  you want to emphasize one, or you could say those

The next word you should remove  from your vocabulary is wrong.

This is because in English it can sound very  harsh, critical, and it's also disempowering.

As a teacher, I avoid saying  that answer is wrong because

Think of all the times you've been told this as

You could also say that answer isn't correct.

It sounds more neutral and  it sounds more empowering.

So for you, if you're in a social situation  or a professional situation and someone says

something and you know that information  isn't correct, don't say you're wrong.

For example, the meeting starts at 3:00 PM and  you know the meeting doesn't start at 3:00 PM.

Don't say to that coworker you're wrong  because that sounds very critical.

You can use the word actually.

Actually is used to correct  information, a false assumption.

So you can say actually it starts at 4:00  PM, that is a softer way to communicate it.

person rather than saying you're wrong #4 can't.

Of course this word is disempowering and  it sounds weak, similar to the word try.

I'm sure you've said statements about  your English using can't many times.

But this sounds like a definitive  statement which isn't empowering you

There's a great strategy where you can still  use can't just add the word yet at the end.

So say I can't understand native speakers yet,

So it's such an empowering sentence just by adding  that one word yet and add it right at the end.

You can also use commit to which we  learned before as a replacement to try.

Right now, I can't understand native speakers, but  I'm committed to improving my listening skills.

Think of how much more empowering that sounds.

Now let's talk about recommend me.

What's the problem here?

Why shouldn't you use recommend me?

추천을 사용하면 안되는 이유는 무엇입니까?

Well, just like with advices,  it's grammatically incorrect.

글쎄, 조언과 마찬가지로 문법적으로도 올바르지 않습니다.

I hear recommend me from students so often that  

학생들로부터 저를 추천한다는 말을 너무 자주 듣는데, 너무 많이 듣기 때문에 제게는

it's starting to sound normal  to me because I hear it so much.

당연한 것처럼 들리기 시작했습니다 .

But from students, it is  not grammatically correct.

하지만 학생들의 경우에는 문법적으로 정확하지 않습니다.

Native speakers don't say that.

원어민들은 그런 말을 하지 않습니다.

So what do you think of this sentence?

그렇다면 이 문장에 대해 어떻게 생각하시나요?

Would you recommend me this book?

나에게 이 책을 추천해주실 수 있나요?

What do you think about that?

It's incorrect.

The correct sentence structure is  recommend something to someone.

올바른 문장 구조는 누군가에게 무언가를 추천하는 것입니다.

So how can you fix that sentence?

Would you recommend something,  this book to someone to me?

나에게 누군가에게 이 책을 추천해주실 수 있나요?

Would you recommend this book to me?

이 책을 나에게 추천하시겠습니까?

So starting right now, you need to  remove recommend me from your vocabulary.

따라서 지금부터 어휘에서 추천을 삭제해야 합니다.

Let's talk about I don't know.

모르겠어요에 대해 이야기해 봅시다.

You should remove this because again,  it's disempowering and it sounds weak.

다시 한 번 말씀드리지만, 힘이 없고 약하게 들리기 때문에 이 항목을 제거해야 합니다.

You want to communicate confidently.

Saying I don't know often  makes you sound unconfident.

모른다고 말하면 자신감이 없어 보일 때가 많습니다.

You can say I don't know when  the meeting starts, that is fine.

회의가 언제 시작되는지 모른다고 말씀하셔도 괜찮습니다.

You can say I don't know  how to use the word myriad.

Can you explain it to me?

That's fine.

But don't make general statements and say I  don't know how to improve my speaking skills.

This is disempowering.

It doesn't motivate you to  try to improve your speaking

Instead, you can say I'm confident.

Think of how much more  professional strong you sound.

So you can use this in any situation.

You can also simply say I know I can.

Now let's talk about gonna.

And the reason is because I work with students  every single day in the Finally Fluent Academy,

and I see students try to use the word gonna,  but they either use it incorrectly and it doesn't

sound professional or the grammar that they use it  is completely wrong, so it sounds unprofessional.

전문적으로 들리지 않거나 사용하는 문법이 다음과 같은 경우가 있기 때문입니다. 완전히 틀렸기 때문에 전문가답지 않은 것처럼 들립니다.

Now remember, gonna is slang and  it sounds unprofessional if used  

이제 Going은 속어이며

in the wrong context or if it's used incorrectly.

잘못된 문맥에서 사용되거나 잘못 사용되면 전문가답지 않게 들린다는 점을 기억하세요.

Native speakers use this word all the time.

원어민들은 이 단어를 항상 사용합니다. 원어민

Instead of saying going to  native speakers say gonna.

This is a reduction that naturally  takes place in spoken English.

이는 영어 구사에서 자연스럽게 발생하는 축약형입니다.

I don't think should I use the word gonna,  

Going이라는 단어를 사용하면 안 될 것 같아요.

it just comes out naturally because our  sounds combine naturally in spoken English.

우리의 소리가 영어로 자연스럽게 결합되기 때문에 자연스럽게 나온 것입니다.

So even in a workplace situation,  I could say to a Co worker,  

따라서 직장 상황에서도 동료에게 '

we're gonna grab a bite, you want to join.

So instead of saying going to I  combine those sounds and say gonna.

The problem is I see students try to use this,

but instead they say I'm gonna to  send you the report by 5:00 PM.

Well, first of all, this is  grammatically incorrect because

going to is gonna so you don't use two again.

And also the context of this sentence sounds  more professional if this were written English.

So in this case it would be inappropriate to use  in a professional context in written English.

따라서 이 경우 서면 영어로 전문적인 맥락에서 사용하는 것은 부적절할 것입니다.

Native speakers use gonna in written English,  

원어민은 서면 영어로 Going을 사용

but in a more informal context  quick text messages or quick emails.

하지만 좀 더 비공식적인 맥락에서는 빠른 문자 메시지나 빠른 이메일을 사용합니다.

But it depends on the situation, because you might  not know when you should or shouldn't use gonna.

That's why I recommend you  remove it from your vocabulary.

Going to is always correct.

Gonna is often incorrect  or unprofessional #8 shall.

Gonna는 종종 부정확 하거나 전문가가 아닌 #8입니다.

This is outdated in most contexts.

First of all, shall is a modal verb for  a future action for the subjects I or we.

First of all, you need to know how to use  it correctly, and many students don't.

So for future actions, native speakers use will,

but native speakers do use shall  in very specific situations.

For example, if you're at a restaurant or  an event or a party and you want to leave,

you can turn to the person and say shall we go?

And the other person can  reply back and say we shall,

but you might not know how  to use this word correctly.

And because native speakers only use it in this  very specific situation, and in all other cases

it makes you sound outdated, I recommend  removing it from your vocabulary #9 good.

This is vague and it's also basic.

Native speakers use this  word all the time as well.

For example when I often ask my husband how  was your day he just says good it was good.

What does that tell me about his day?

It tells me nothing.

Or you might ask your friend how was your  vacation or your Co worker how was the meeting?

And if all they say is it was good.

You don't have a lot of information do you?

So you can still say good, but I recommend  expanding that with at least one specific point.

For example, how was the meeting?

It was good.

We learned a new method for organizing our files.

So technically you can keep good in  your vocabulary, but add on to it.

Don't just say it was good #10 interesting.

This word is vague, and it's also quite confusing  in English because interesting can be positive

interesting in a good way, or it can be negative  interesting in a bad way, depending on context.

Sometimes native speakers use the word  interesting when we don't want to offend someone.

So if my friend asked me, oh, do you like my new  shirt, I can say, oh, that's an interesting shirt.

따라서 내 친구가 나에게 '오, 내 새 셔츠가 마음에 드시나요?'라고 묻는다면 나는 '오, 그거 흥미로운 셔츠구나'라고 말할 수 있습니다.

So in reality, I don't like the shirt.

그래서 사실 저는 셔츠를 별로 안 좋아해요.

So I can describe it as interesting,  which is actually a negative in this case,  

그래서 나는 그것을 흥미롭다고 설명할 수 있는데, 이 경우에는 실제로 부정적인 것이지만,

but hopefully my friend doesn't realize that.

내 친구가 그것을 깨닫지 않기를 바랍니다.

So if your friend asks you, how  was the party, now you know,  

그러니 친구가 파티가 어땠냐고 묻는다면, 이제 알다시피, 단지

don't just say it was good and also  don't just say it was interesting.

좋았다고만 하지 말고, 재미있었다고만 하지 마세요.

If the party was positive, you can say the party  was entertaining, engaging, enjoyable, delightful.

파티가 긍정적이었다면 파티가 재미있고, 흥미롭고, 즐겁고, 즐거웠다고 말할 수 있습니다.

These words only have a positive meaning.

이 단어들은 긍정적인 의미만을 가지고 있습니다.

Or if you want it to mean  interesting in a bad way,  

또는 나쁜 의미로 흥미로웠으면

you can say the party was dull,  boring, tedious, lifeless.

파티가 지루하고, 지루하고, 지루하고, 생명이 없었다고 말할 수 있습니다.

So those are great positive and  negative adjectives to replace the word.

따라서 이 단어는 단어를 대체할 수 있는 훌륭한 긍정적 및 부정적 형용사입니다.

Interesting #11 really, this is  overused even by native speakers.

흥미로운 #11은 정말 원어민들조차 남용하는 단어입니다.

And it's also very basic.

그리고 그것은 또한 매우 기본적인 것입니다.

I'm really tired.

나 진짜 피곤해.

But there is one word that means really tired.

그런데 정말 피곤하다는 뜻의 단어가 하나 있어요.

Do you know what that word is?

I'm exhausted.

지쳤어.

So it communicates the same thing  without using the word really.

따라서 really라는 단어를 사용하지 않고도 동일한 내용을 전달합니다.

I'm swamped.

Well, there are many many options.

글쎄, 많은 옵션이 있습니다.

For example, the party was  amazing, entertaining, exciting.

예를 들어, 파티는 놀랍고, 즐거웠고, 흥미로웠습니다.

Start with these that I shared and keep

A native speaker will instantly know that English  is not your first language if you use the word  

단어는

persons in an everyday context because it's only  used in a government, legal, or official context.

정부, 법률 또는 공식적인 상황에서만 사용되기 때문에 일상적인 상황에서 사용하는 경우 영어가 모국어가 아니라는 것을 원어민은 즉시 알 수 있습니다.

In everyday English, there's one person, the word  is singular, and then what's the plural to people?

People is the plural of person.

사람은 사람의 복수형입니다.

So in any everyday context,  including business and academic,  

따라서 비즈니스 및 학문을 포함한 모든 일상적인 상황에서

you would say all people must register  before attending the conference.

모든 사람은 컨퍼런스에 참석하기 전에 등록해야 한다고 말할 수 있습니다 .

But in government, legal or official  English, they would say all persons  

하지만 정부, 법률 또는 공식 영어에서는 모든 사람이

must complete the form or this policy  applies to all persons older than 55.

양식을 작성해야 하며 그렇지 않으면 이 정책이 55세 이상의 모든 사람에게 적용된다고 말합니다.

I hear English learners say I met  some interesting persons at the party.

영어 학습자들은 내가 파티에서 흥미로운 사람을 몇 명 만났다고 말합니다.

This is an everyday context and  using persons sounds unnatural.

이는 일상적인 상황이므로 인물을 사용하는 것이 부자연스럽게 들립니다.

You should say I met some  interesting people at the party.

내가 파티에서 흥미로운 사람들을 몇 명 만났다고 해야 할까요.
