doubt means you have some

Distrust it means that you do not

believe in

Some information that is presented to you, so if you say teacher, I have a doubt my first thought is oh no

What did I do wrong?

Why doesn't my students trust me and because your trust is so

Important to me that really would make me feel bad so avoid using the word doubt in that situation

if you want to know some information about the English language

then instead say I have a question or

Can I ask you a question? or can you help me with this question? but the best

Introduction to your question is to say I have a question

so when do you use the word doubt because doubt is not always a

Horrible word to use that will make people think bad things

doubt could be used in an idiomatic phrase like when in doubt

don't this is a great phrase to encourage caution in your life

Also, you could use it in another way when you really do have some distrust or disbelief for example: hmmm

I have doubts about marrying Gregory. I just don't know if he loves me, so that's just an example

I don't actually know anyone named gregory. So... if you have a doubt it means you do not

trust that person or that information or that

And doubt is when you do not trust and maybe you want more clarification
