Let’s talk about phrases you can  use in your daily conversations.

Native speakers use them a lot, and I personally  use them when I talk to my friends, relatives,

neighbors and other people. Now let’s get started. Phrase number 1 - Nevermind!

phrase when I want to tell someone not to worry  about something because it’s not that important. 

frase quando voglio dire a qualcuno di non preoccuparsi di qualcosa perché non è così importante.

"I'm sorry I’ve lost your textbook."  "Never mind, I can buy another one." 

"Mi dispiace di aver perso il tuo libro di testo." "Non importa, posso comprarne un altro."

The next phrase is - That’s a good one! That's a good one, I have to remember that one! 

La frase successiva è - Questa è una buona frase! Questa è buona, devo ricordarmela!

If someone tells you a joke, and it was very  funny, you can use the phrase That’s a good one 

Se qualcuno ti racconta una barzelletta, ed è stata molto divertente, puoi usare la frase È una buona

Or when someone said something stupid, and you  can’t believe that, you can say it in response. 

O quando qualcuno ha detto qualcosa di stupido, e tu non riesci a crederci, puoi dirlo in risposta.

‘Can you do the washing-up? I’m tired.’ ‘Tired?  That’s a good one. You’ve done nothing all day!’ 

'Sai lavare i piatti? Sono stanco.' 'Stanco? Bella questa. Non hai fatto niente tutto il giorno!'

The next one is - But the thing is that But the thing is Chris, I'm your muse now!

We use this phrase when we’re going to explain  something, to help other person understand

your choice or opinion. For example, "This laptop

This is a very casual phrase and native speakers  use it in conversations very often but please

never use it in writing, because it’s informal The next phrase is - No big deal

Come on, you, guys, it's not big deal! I use this phrase to say that something

is not important or not difficult, for example "Thanks so much for helping me with my test,

it was really hard for me" "No big deal, bro. I'm happy to help you"

The next phrase is used  extremely often - It’s up to you 

La frase successiva è usata molto spesso - Dipende da te

It’s up to you When you want someone to decide,  

Dipende da te Quando vuoi che qualcuno decida,

you can say - It’s up to you This phrase means - it doesn't  

puoi dire - Dipende da te Questa frase significa -

matter to me, I don’t really care. - What movie should we watch tonight? 

a me non importa, non mi interessa davvero. - Che film dovremmo guardare stasera?

- It’s up to you. Choose whatever you like. the next phrase is - How does that sound?

How does that sound? This is a friendly way to

ask what someone thinks of your plan. “What a beautiful day! I think we should take

The next phrase is What have you been up to? What have you been up to?

When someone asks you this question, and  you’re like What? What have I been… Up to  

Quando qualcuno ti fa questa domanda e tu sei tipo Cosa? Cosa sono stato... fino a

what? what’s going on? Don’t panic, this  phrase is a casual way of asking about you  

cosa? cosa sta succedendo? Niente panico, questa frase è un modo casuale per chiedere informazioni su di te

and your activities. What have you been up to?  

e sulle tue attività. Che cosa hai fatto?

literally means what happened in your life in  the period of time you haven’t seen this person. 

significa letteralmente cosa è successo nella tua vita nel periodo di tempo in cui non hai visto questa persona.

You can ask your friend “What have you been up  to?” but please never say this to a stranger  

Puoi chiedere al tuo amico "Che cosa hai combinato?" ma per favore non dirlo mai a uno sconosciuto

because it may look weird and the person is gonna  be confused. Again, this phrase is very informal. 

perché potrebbe sembrare strano e la persona sarà confusa. Ancora una volta, questa frase è molto informale.

The next one is a question: Did you get it? Did you get it? - Sorry 

La prossima è una domanda: l'hai presa? L'hai preso? - Scusa

We use this phrase to ask someone if they  understand what you’re saying to them. 

Utilizziamo questa frase per chiedere a qualcuno se capisce quello che stai dicendo.

And a good response is – Got it!  This means you understood everything 

E una buona risposta è: capito! Ciò significa che hai capito tutto.

The next one is a very  common phrase - Are you down? 

La prossima è una frase molto comune: sei giù?

This means: are you OK with something?  or Are you ready to do something?  

Questo significa: stai bene con qualcosa? o Sei pronto a fare qualcosa?

(or willing to do something) For example, I’m down to make video  

(o disposto a fare qualcosa) Ad esempio, sono pronto a fare

but not the least phrase is Never been better I use this phrase when someone asks me  

ma non meno importante, è Mai stata meglio. Uso questa frase quando qualcuno mi chiede

How’ve you been? This means a good thing, maybe  

Come stai? Questo significa una buona cosa, forse

a little exaggerated. You can say it when you want  to tell people that things are good, things are  

un po' esagerata. Puoi dirlo quando vuoi dire alle persone che le cose vanno bene, le cose stanno
