Slip Under the Radar | Vocabulary Series | Havisha Rathore

Here I am with another video of the vocabulary Series. So, let's start without

a hitch. Everything was going on so smoothly and nicely until my session

ending examination arrived. It was really tense, and you know what I did not even

revise one chapter I remember that feeling of tension I remember that

frustration I don't know the fear of having not revised even one chapter can

you relate to that how frustrating it was considering the seriousness of the

situation I made an important decision of the year and the decision was that I

would practice rot learning and pass the exam somehow and then when the holidays

arrive after my exams are over at that time I would learn them permanently and

feed them permanently in my brain so I somehow or other, I wrote the exam and

after that when the holidays arrived I was too busy enjoying them going here

going there somewhere somewhere, and I was very busy enjoying them and after that I

had my entry to and after the holidays what happened was that I entered the eighth

standard, I had to say hello to the eighth grade, I was very happy, and I was busy

with classwork and homework and many more things amidst all this I forgot to

learn the chapters of seventh grade and entered eighth grade, so this is a good

news that I entered 8th grade, but there is also bad news that I don't think I

remember the chapters of seventh grade now and that's a big problem so one day

the teacher wrote something very shocking on the board that I could not

expect even in my dreams and it was a surprise test yes my friends a surprise

test was arranged and my teacher did not even inform us about the surprise test I

was really very surprised and and interestingly enough all the syllabus

came from seventh grade it came from grade from grade seven and I did not

memorize even one chapter I practiced Rot learning as I've already informed

you I was trying to recall everything but at that point of need I could recall

nothing somehow or other I wrote the test and the next day the results were up I

was very tense. The teacher was announcing the marks one by one I was

very very frustrated my mouth was drying my skin was burning and the bottle of

water in my hand was sleeping I could speak nothing that's all what I remember

I could just speak nothing and at last my teacher announced that I have

scored 38 out of 45 I was really surprised and my teacher also said that

we need not get frustrated because of these marks and we might also hide

these marks from our parents why because these marks would not be counted

in our report card so we can hide them so I thought that wow these marks won't

be written on our report card so why don't I hide them so I decided that I

will not disclose my marks to my parents but I could not hide this secret for

long I felt something heavy in my heart that why am I hiding this thing from my

parents so one fine afternoon I disclosed the secret to my mother I

don't know what happened to her but she was in a really good mood that when I

disclosed the secret to her she said no problem from now on you must not let

anything slip under your radar now here I found my criminal slip under your

radar and I asked what is the meaning of slip under someone's radar to

my mother and at that time my mother was my Google and she told me my dear slip

under the radar means to go unnoticed slip under the radar means to

go unnoticed in this big world of hurry many things slip under the radar it

means many things go unnoticed so this was an example now how do I remember it

slip under the radar how I remember it in my brain forever let me tell you now

here first of all let me tell you that after this reply from my mother I was

relieved but now coming back to the point slip under the radar now here this

is the disc through which radar signal is transmitted but now the question arises

that how does it work and what is its function and many more now here I won't

be getting into those technical details but what I want to say here is that this

is the transmitter or I would say the receiver

and now here the radar is transmitted and after touching the and after

touching the object it will reflect back as reflected wave okay now here now here

if the Aeroplane is in the Radar's range then only it will be noticed but suppose

this Aeroplane slips under the radar and the Aeroplane is here

then it won't be noticed so slip under the radar means to go unnoticed.
