The English language is a collection of words

अंग्रेजी भाषा शब्दों का एक संग्रह है

that must be used in a certain way,

जिसका उपयोग एक निश्चित तरीके से किया जाना चाहिए,

just like any other language,

किसी भी अन्य भाषा की तरह,

English words follow rules that must always be observed and followed.

अंग्रेजी शब्द उन नियमों का पालन करते हैं जिनका हमेशा पालन किया जाना चाहिए।

The general term for these rules is 'grammar'.

इन नियमों के लिए सामान्य शब्द 'व्याकरण' है।

Grammar rules are there to give order to a language.

व्याकरण के नियम किसी भाषा को क्रम देने के लिए होते हैं।

The grammar of a language relates to the way in which words must be used

किसी भाषा का व्याकरण इस बात से संबंधित है कि शब्दों का उपयोग किस प्रकार किया जाना चाहिए

and how each group of words function or work.

और शब्दों का प्रत्येक समूह कैसे कार्य करता है।

In English, the types of words are divided into groups

अंग्रेजी में, शब्दों के प्रकारों को समूहों में विभाजित किया जाता है

that define their simple use.

जो उनके सरल उपयोग को परिभाषित करते हैं।

These groups are - nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs

ये समूह हैं - संज्ञा, क्रिया, विशेषण, क्रियाविशेषण

as well as conjunctions with their own system of types and uses.

और साथ ही उनके प्रकार और उपयोग की अपनी प्रणाली के साथ संयोजन।

First of all, we have nouns.

सबसे पहले, हमारे पास संज्ञाएँ हैं।

A noun is a naming word.

संज्ञा एक नामकरण शब्द है।

It names something.

It is what the thing is called.

इसे ही चीज़ कहा जाता है.

The name of something is a noun.

Basic nouns are things such as...

Apple. Tree. Cloud. Bird. Horse.

A name given to a person is a noun.

किसी व्यक्ति को दिया गया नाम संज्ञा है।

It is a person's name.

यह एक व्यक्ति का नाम है.

My name is Duncan.

मेरा नाम डंकन है.

Then there are verbs.

फिर क्रियाएँ हैं।

A verb is a doing word.

क्रिया क्रिया करने वाला शब्द है।

It describes an action.

यह एक क्रिया का वर्णन करता है.

Something being done will involve the use of a verb.

कुछ किए जाने में क्रिया का उपयोग शामिल होगा।

Verbs include... Walk. Climb. Jump.

क्रियाओं में शामिल हैं...चलना। चढ़ना। कूदना।

Sing. Throw. Sit. Eat.

गाओ। फेंक। बैठना। खाओ।

Next, we have adjectives.

An adjective describes the appearance of something.

विशेषण किसी वस्तु के स्वरूप का वर्णन करता है।

How something looks.

कोई चीज़ कैसी दिखती है.

What something appears like, or as.

कोई चीज़ कैसी या जैसी दिखाई देती है।

The features of something being described

वर्णित की जा रही किसी चीज़ की विशेषताओं का

will use adjectives to describe them.

वर्णन करने के लिए विशेषणों का उपयोग किया जाएगा।

Adjectives include...

Fat. Thin. Tall. Young. Old. Light. Dark.

मोटा। पतला। लंबा। युवा। पुराना। रोशनी। अँधेरा।

The colour of something is described using adjectives.

विशेषणों का प्रयोग करके किसी वस्तु के रंग का वर्णन किया जाता है।

A red car. A blue ball. A white hat.

एक लाल कार. एक नीली गेंद. एक सफ़ेद टोपी.

Then there are adverbs...

फिर क्रियाविशेषण हैं...

which describe how something is being done.

जो बताते हैं कि कोई काम कैसे किया जा रहा है।

The type of action and what it relates to is an adverb.

क्रिया का प्रकार और उसका संबंध किससे है यह क्रिया-विशेषण है।

Happily. Sadly. Merrily. wrongly. Rightly. Angrily. Peacefully.

आनंद से। अफसोस की बात है। प्रसन्नतापूर्वक। गलत तरीके से. ठीक है. गुस्से से। शांति से।

We also have prepositions

हमारे पास पूर्वसर्ग भी हैं

which are used to show the position of something;

जिनका उपयोग किसी चीज़ की स्थिति दिखाने के लिए किया जाता है;

where one thing is; the position, the place.

जहां एक चीज है; पद, स्थान.

Where one thing is compared to other things around it.

जहां एक चीज़ की तुलना उसके आस-पास की अन्य चीज़ों से की जाती है।

Under. Over. Behind. On. Between...

अंतर्गत। ऊपर। पीछे। पर। बीच में...

...are all prepositions.

...सभी पूर्वसर्ग हैं।

These are the main types of grammar

ये व्याकरण के मुख्य प्रकार हैं

that are used in English.

जिनका उपयोग अंग्रेजी में किया जाता है।

Nouns - <i>naming.</i> Verbs - <i>doing.</i>

संज्ञा - <i>नाम देना।</i> क्रिया - <i>करना।</i>

Adjectives - <i>appearance.</i>

विशेषण - <i>रूप।</i

Adverbs - <i>appearance and action.</i>

> क्रियाविशेषण - <i>रूप और क्रिया।</i>

Prepositions - <i>place and position</i>.

पूर्वसर्ग - <i >स्थान और स्थिति</i>.

Remember, do not be afraid of English grammar.
