When you go out and you have too much,

for some reason.

First, when you wanna talk about how easy or how difficult

your life is or a time period,

how difficult or easy that was,

you can use this structure.

To have it easy, to have it hard.

Some synonym of easy or hard.

You can also use good and bad.

And it basically means the same thing, easy or difficult.

For example.

- I had it so much better with my ex.

My boyfriend now used all my expensive perfume

on his pet turtle, (sniffs) smells good though.

- B two students and B one students

you should be using present perfect, perfectly.

Like, "I've had it tough all my life."

Got that present perfect.

"I've had it tough."

Or someone super rich or from a rich family might say,

"I've had it pretty comfortable."

We wanna boost your vocabulary.

Remember, synonyms of easy or difficult.

And in this case, "I've had it pretty comfortable,"

means until now, my life has been easy.

I've had it tough, my life has been difficult.

Tell me about your life

or a specific time period from your life.

Was it easy? Was it difficult?

For example, "I had it so easy,

until I moved out of my parents' house.

Now I have to cook for myself. This is bull (beep)."

Next, to have someone on,

it means to lie to someone and they believe you,

but in a jokey way.

It's not a big, serious lie.

You're just having fun.

Like.

- Did I tell you? My mate, Maria,

she told me she's mates with Adele.

She knows Adele.

- I think she's having you on, mate.

- No, no. I think it's serious. Yeah.

- All right, lads.

- You're up, Maria. - This is my mate, Adele.

- All right, darlings. I'm Adele.

- Similar to this,

we can just say to have someone

means they believed your lie.

For example.

- Becky, I've got a secret and I've got to tell you now.

- Oh yeah? What's that?

- I'm an alien.

- No, you're not.

- Yep. Alien.

- But the times that we.

I have so many questions.

- I'm just having you on. I'm human.

- Oh, I mean, I know. Almost had me.

- But maybe this person plays too many jokes on you

"Ugh, I've had it with this assignment. It's so boring."

Remember it means,

"Ah, I don't want anymore from this thing or this person."

The next way we can use it is with drinking.

So when you go out and drink, what is your choice?

Are you a vodka guy, a beer girl?

Or are you the one that says,

"Everyone we're doing shots until we throw up." (yells)

When you drink too much and now you're like,

"Oh, I need to sleep. And I need McDonald's."

You could say, "I've had too much.

Just let me sleep. Let me sleep."

So if you use have with an amount, basically,

everyone understands you mean amount of alcohol.

"I'm not drunk. I've only had that much."

This one you definitely don't learn in schools

because it's very British and kind of aggressive.

For example, if you're watching sports, football, boxing.

Any sport where you have a rival, an enemy,

the opposite team, basically,

and something bad happens to them.

Like your team scores, your fighter hits the other guy.

We have this expression.

"Yeah, (beep) have it."

You definitely want to drop the H in this one.

"Have that."

Remember, you are expressing that you're happy

something bad happened to the other team,

the rival, your enemy, for example...

- Have it.

- It's very British.

I don't think Americans use this.

They would just say, "Yeah, take that, you douchebag."

Take that.

And finally, to have it out with someone.

When you confront a person about a problem that you have,

you want to settle this problem through talking seriously

with that person or yeah.

Fighting, solving it that way.

Doesn't matter.

In that case, you have it out with them.

Like.

"We had a problem, but we had it out and now we're fine."

You had a problem, but now you've settled it.

Again, through talking seriously, or maybe a fight.
