Yeah. We have "happy." Yeah.

But "excited" is...Let's go!

I'm excited. Okay, we're going to start with something easy. Okay, that's good.

We'll start with hello. Right? In English we have: hello...hi....

Anything else? What else?

Hey? Yes!

Do you know in English sometimes we say there hi there hey there

Hey there, Flavia. Hey there, Jennifer. Hey there, Flavia. Hey.

Hi. Sometimes we do both, like, "Hey! Hi." Hi there. Hey there. Hi.

coworkers. And "hey also," you know is very relaxed. Okay. Hey.

In English... and you probably hear Americans say, "Hello.

How are you?" Right? That's good. But again, we have hello, hi, hey, hi there,

hey there... There's more. Right? We can say, "How are you?" and

what else?

Okay. How are you?

How are you doing?

So we like to say: Hello. How are you? Hi. How are you doing? So you say hello and

something else like a question. Right? Hi Flavia. How are you doing?

Hi and how are you doing or how are you... hey there...how are you? Hi there. How are you doing?

So say hello and ask a question. Can you say it? Oh...

Hello. How are you?

But you combine: Hello. How are you?/ Hey. How are you?/ or Hi there. How are you doing?

When you say hello, say hi and

something else, a question, for example. There's more there. There's another question. How about this one?

You can say: Hey, how are doing?

Okay. I'm gonna add one more. We have: Hello. Hi.

Good morning, Andreia. ...Or again, just like we had "How is it going?" > "How's it going?"

So you might hear "good morning." Good morning, Andreia. Good morning.

You might hear without the "good": Morning! Morning, Flavia. Morning.

That's it. Or you hear the G. G' G'

Yeah, and again we combine it: Good morning. How are you doing?

Not "what are you doing." How are you doing?

And you just say, "Hey there. How's it going?"

Sometimes there's a question and no answer. Okay. Right? Hey. What's new? - Hi. How are you doing?

No answer. Sometimes.

I always...think (about how to) answer.

Yeah. With an answer. Sometimes there's no answer: Hey. Hey. Hi. Hi. That's all.

But sometimes there could be answers. Let's do another one. Oh... What's up?

Ok, so hello...how are you...is everyone. What's up?

Not... What's up, Doctor? What's up, Mr. - ? Mrs. - ? What's up... is with friends,

classmates, co-workers. Hey. What's up?

Hi. What's new?

Sometimes we have phrases like:

Good to see you!

Answer?

Just "Good to see you." LIke...Hi there. Good to see you.

Hey. How are you doing? That's all. So try the new ones. Andreia. Can you say hello?

Good morning, Flavia.

What's new? - Hi Andreia. What's up?

Good to see you. Yeah, good to see you. Sometimes there is an answer.

Question and answer. So we could say: How are you?

How are you doing? How is it going? The answer could be: Not bad.

Not bad. How about you? Listen. Not bad. How about you?

Good. So, how are you? Not bad. How about you?

You might hear this.

Doing well. Thanks. You? So listen: Doing well. Thanks. You?

Question. Yeah: you? Listen: Doing well. Thanks. You?

- I'm fine. Yeah, but you try. Listen and repeat. Doing well. Thanks. You?

And everyone's happy. In America, maybe you wake up in the morning. You're tired. Your head hurts. It's raining.

It's cold, but someone says, "Hi." ...And..."Hi!"

How are you? - Good!

And Americans like to be happy, so even if the morning is bad, and

someone says, "Good morning. How's it going?" - Good, good. Not bad.

Everything is good.

Not bad. Okay. There are more. Sometimes you can say, "Good. Thanks. And you?"

So... "Doing well. Thanks. You?" or "Good. Thanks. And you?" Same intonation.

What's going on? What's going on? Mm-hmm. If you ask me, "What's going on?" I might say, "Not much."

That's a typical response.

Good. I'm fine. Or we say "good"... we like to say things two times. Good, good.

For some reason people sometimes say things two times. Good, good.

Doing. Thanks. You? ...- Oh. Sorry.

Again. One more time.

Hey Andreia. What's going on? Not much. How are you?

Say: Not bad. Not bad.

Okay. Not bad.

Good.

Sometimes you hear "pretty good."

Pretty good is not very good. But like...pretty good.

Not bad. It's the same. Pretty good. What's new with you?

So you might say, "Good morning. How's it going?"

- Pretty good. What's new with you?

So sometimes these questions, like "what's up?" What's up? - There's no answer. What's up?

Is it correct? What's up? - What's up?

Yeah. What's up? Hey. How's it going?

Sometimes someone says: How's it going? What's new? What's up? And the person says, Hey. Yeah. Good to see you.

There's no answer, right? It's good to see you. - Good to see you too. All right? Someone says, "Good to see you."

- Good to see you too. Try that. Good to see you. Good to see you too.

Good to see you what you see you too. Yeah, good to see you too. What's new?
