Access can be both a verb and a noun and refers  to the permission or ability to enter a place

Excess is a noun, and it refers to an  amount of something that is too much;  

초과는 명사이며 너무 많은 양을 나타냅니다.

it's not necessary or not usual.

필요하지 않거나 일반적이지 않습니다.

“On my birthday I always eat an excess of cake”

"내 생일에 나는 항상 케이크를 너무 많이 먹는다"는

meaning I eat too much cake.

케이크를 너무 많이 먹는다는 뜻입니다.
