We gonna discuss language that  is used by native speakers

At first let’s have a look at the example and then I will explain the meaning in detail.

Number 1. equivocate I asked her straight questions,

but she was equivocating most of the  time and didn’t give me straight answers.

If you equivocate, you try to hide your  opinion and don’t say everything you think.

1. Equivocate means to use

Disabuse means to free from  a misconception, to rid of false ideas

Disabuse とは、誤解から解放し 、誤った考えを取り除くことを意味し

Number 3. abscond The thief had tried to abscond,

but the police caught him in hot pursuit.

If you run away from the crime scene,  that means you abscond the responsibility.

Abscond means to secretly avoid  some responsibility, arrest, or punishment

Now let’s move on to Number 4. Placate. The hotel manager was trying to placate us by

When something proliferates, it is growing, spreading or multiplying really quickly.

Proliferate means to increase in  number or spread rapidly and often excessively.

増殖とは、 数が増えるか、急速に、そしてしばしば過剰に広がることを意味します。

Now let’s have a little test so that  you not only learn new vocabulary

to reduce spending money to increase in number or spread rapidly

こと 支出を減らすこと 数を増やすか、急速に
