The... CREATIVE 'BLOCK' - What to do when the new ideas do not flow

one of the hardest parts of making these  English videos is keeping it fresh and new  

sometimes it's hard to do new things especially  when you've been doing it for as long as I have  

and yes we are talking over 17 years can you  believe it I've been here on YouTube doing this  

and it is very hard to come up with new  ideas maybe sometimes especially if you are  

a creative type and I'm sure there are many  creative types out there artists musicians  

composers writers perhaps you are a person who  likes to make your own YouTube videos like me  

sometimes you might hit a point where you can't  think of anything new we call that writer's block  

or you might describe it as a creative block  sometimes I have it I wake up in the morning  

and I have absolutely no idea what I'm going to  do creatively for the rest of the day and then  

a couple of days later suddenly my head becomes  filled with lots and lots of wonderful ideas and  

that is it you see that is the way creativity  often works sometimes you have lots of things  

going around in your head that you want to try  and then suddenly you have nothing you have  

nothing at all you become blank in fact for me in  the past when I used to write very long Scripts  

one of the most frightening things you  can ever come across is blank screen  

maybe you have a new word document open in front  of you and all there is on the screen is that  

flashing cursor waiting to be fed all of  those wonderful new sentences meanwhile I'm  

sitting there in front of the computer without a  single clue in my head I have absolutely nothing  

so if you are the type of person who is creative  don't worry if sometimes you have no new ideas  

one of the things that I was once recommended  to do by YouTube was to go back and have a look  

at some of the things I've done in the past  and maybe revisit them so that is something  

I suppose I could do and maybe from time to time  I will do that so if you are a person who likes  

creating things don't worry now and again he will  run out of ideas but the good news is slowly but  

surely new ideas will appear in fact quite  often they will pop into your head like magic
