Practice Future Simple Tense | Basic English Grammar Course

For this checkup let's take a look at the will usage for the future simple tense.

이 점검을 위해 미래 단순 시제의 유언 용법을 살펴보겠습니다.

The first example says, ‘Jen and Paul [blank] home soon’

첫 번째 예는 'go'라는 동사와 함께 'Jen and Paul [blank] home soon'입니다

with the verb ‘go’.

Remember, when using ‘will’ for the future simple tense,

미래 단순 시제로 'will'을 사용할 때 주어가

it doesn't matter what the subject is.

무엇인지는 중요하지 않습니다.

We say ‘will’ and then the base verb.

우리는 'will'이라고 말한 다음 기본 동사를 말합니다.

So here we can say, ‘Jen and Paul’ or ‘They will go home soon’.

그래서 여기서 우리는 '젠과 폴' 또는 '그들은 곧 집에 갈 것이다'라고 말할 수 있습니다.

‘I [blank] a scientist after I graduate.’

'졸업하면 과학자가 됩니다.'

Try filling in the blank with ‘be’.

Again, we simply say ‘will be’.

‘I will be a scientist after I graduate.’

Now try this one, ‘We [blank] that because it smells bad.’

I want you to use the negative form with the verb ‘eat’.

'먹다'라는 동사와 함께 부정형을 사용하시기 바랍니다.

Here we say, ‘will not eat’ or remember we can use the contraction ‘won't’.

여기서 우리는 'will not eat'이라고 말하거나 'wo n't'라는 축약형을 사용할 수 있음을 기억합니다.

‘We will not eat that’ or ‘We won't eat that because it smells bad’.

'저거 안먹을거야' 또는 ' 냄새나서 안먹을거야'.

Now look for the mistake in this sentence.

이제 이 문장에서 틀린 부분을 찾아보세요.

‘I will eat a pizza for lunch.’

'I will eat a pizza for lunch.'

Remember, we need the base form of the verb.

기억하세요, 우리는 동사의 기본 형태가 필요합니다.

‘I will eat a pizza for lunch.’

'I will eat a pizza for lunch.' '

‘Angie and I will playing a game.’

Angie and I will play a game.'

Again we need the base form of the verb.

이번에도 동사의 기본형이 필요합니다.

Angie and I will play a game.’

Angie와 나는 게임을 할 것입니다.'

And finally, ‘Will she be cook dinner?’

그리고 마지막으로 '그녀가 저녁을 요리할 것인가?'

This is a question.

이것은 질문입니다.

However we need to say, ‘Will she cook dinner.’

그러나 우리는 'Will she cook dinner'라고 말해야 합니다.

We do not need a ‘be’ verb here.

여기서는 'be' 동사가 필요하지 않습니다.

Let's move on.

Let's practice the ‘be going to’ usage of the future simple tense.

'be going to' 용법을 연습해 봅시다 .

‘We [blank] going to _blank_ soccer.’

'We [blank] going to _blank_ soccer.'

I want you to use the verb ‘watch’.

동사 'watch'를 사용했으면 합니다.

Remember, for ‘be going to’ in the future simple tense,

미래의 단순 시제에서 'be going to'는

we start with the subject and then the ‘be’ verb.

주어로 시작한 다음 'be' 동사로 시작한다는 점을 기억하세요.

The subject here is ‘we’.

여기서의 주체는 '우리'입니다.

So we need the ‘be’ verb – ‘are’.

그래서 우리는 'be'동사 – 'are'가 필요합니다.

‘We are going to’ and then the base verb ‘watch’.

'We are going to' 다음에 기본 동사 'watch'가 있습니다.

‘We are going to watch soccer.’

'우리는 축구를 볼 것이다.'

‘I [blank] going to [blank].’

'I [blank] going to [blank].'

The verb is ‘talk’.

동사는 'talk'입니다.

And I want you to use the negative form.

그리고 저는 여러분이 부정적인 형태를 사용하기를 바랍니다.

In this case, the subject is ‘I’.

이때 주어는 '나'입니다.

And so I use the ‘be’ verb – ‘am’.

그래서 저는 'be' 동사인 'am'을 사용합니다.

‘I am’ and then we need ‘not’.

'나는 있다' 그리고 '아니다'가 필요합니다.

‘I am not going to’

'I am not going to'

Then the base verb ‘talk’.

그리고 기본동사 'talk'.

‘Why [blank] you going to [blank]?’

'Why [blank] you going to [blank]?'

The verb here is ‘go’.

여기서 동사는 'go'입니다.

In a question, especially a ‘WH’ question, we start with the ‘WH’ word,

질문, 특히 'WH' 질문에서 'WH' 단어로 시작한

and then the ‘be’ verb.

다음 'be' 동사로 시작합니다.

‘are’ is the correct ‘be’ verb because the subject is ‘you’.

'are'는 주어가 'you'이기 때문에 올바른 'be'동사입니다.

Then we have ‘going to’.

And again, the base form of the verb.

그리고 다시, 동사의 기본 형태입니다.

‘Why are you going to go?’

Now try to find the mistake in the next sentence.

이제 다음 문장에서 실수를 찾으십시오.

‘You are going to studying at home.’

'너 집에서 공부할 거야.'

Can you find the mistake?

실수를 찾을 수 있나요?

‘You are going to’ that's correct.

'할거야'가 맞습니다.

But we need the base form of the verb.

그러나 우리는 동사의 기본 형태가 필요합니다.

‘You are going to study at home.’

'너는 집에서 공부할거야.' '

‘You will be going to learn English.’

너는 영어를 배울거야.' '

‘You will be going’

너는 갈거야.'

That sounds a little strange.

조금 이상하게 들립니다.

Remember, we don't need the ‘will’ here.

여기서는 'will'이 필요하지 않습니다.

We're using ‘be going to’ and we need to change the ‘be’ verb to match the subject.

우리는 'be going to'를 사용하고 있으며 주어와 일치하도록 'be' 동사를 변경해야 합니다.

‘You are going to learn English’.

'너는 영어를 배울거야'.

Or remember, you can also say, ‘You will learn English.

또는 'You will learn English.'라고 말할 수도 있습니다.

and finally ‘Is he going to do play soccer.’

그리고 마지막으로 '그가 축구를 할 건가요?'

uh-oh We have two verbs here.

uh-oh 여기에 두 개의 동사가 있습니다.

‘Is he going to’ - that's correct.

'그가 할 것인가' - 맞습니다.

But we have ‘do’ and ‘play’.

하지만 우리에게는 '한다'와 '놀다'가 있습니다.

We don't need both, so we say, ‘Is he going to play soccer?’

우리는 둘 다 필요하지 않기 때문에 '그가 축구를 할 것인가?'라고 말합니다.
