Let's start this checkup for the future perfect tense.

Take a look at the first sentence.

Tingnan ang unang pangungusap.

It says, ‘We _blank_ that book by tomorrow.’

Sinasabi nito, 'Blanko_ namin ang aklat na iyon bukas.'

The verb to use is ‘read’.

Ang pandiwang gagamitin ay 'basahin'.

Remember, in the future perfect tense, we start with the subject,

Tandaan, sa hinaharap na perpektong panahunan,

nagsisimula tayo sa paksa,

and we have that here, ‘we’.

at mayroon tayo dito, 'tayo'.

Then say, ‘will have’ and the past participle of the verb.

Pagkatapos ay sabihin, 'magkakaroon' at ang nakalipas na participle ng pandiwa.

So here we need to say ‘will have’.

Kaya dito kailangan nating sabihin na 'magkakaroon'.

Ano ang past participle ng 'read'?

What is the past participle of ‘read’?

The correct answer is ‘read’.

Ang tamang sagot ay 'basahin'.

They're spelled the same, but they are pronounced differently.

Pareho ang spelling,

ngunit magkaiba ang pagbigkas.

‘We will have read that book by tomorrow.’

'Mababasa na natin ang aklat na iyon bukas.'

Ang susunod na pangungusap ay nagsasabing,

The next sentence says, ‘She _blank_ the video by bedtime.’

'Blanko_ niya ang video bago matulog.'

Here we have ‘not’ so I want you to try the negative form.

Narito mayroon kaming 'hindi'

kaya gusto kong subukan mo ang negatibong anyo.

And the verb to try is ‘watch’.

At ang pandiwa na subukan ay 'manood'.

In the negative form, we start with the subject.

Sa negatibong anyo, nagsisimula tayo sa paksa.

And instead of ‘will have’, we say ‘will not have’.

At imbes na 'will have', sasabihin natin 'will not have'.

‘She will not have …’ Then we need the past participle of the verb.

'Hindi siya magkakaroon ng ...'

Kung gayon kailangan natin ang past participle ng pandiwa.

In this case, it is ‘watched’.

Sa kasong ito, ito ay 'pinapanood'.

‘She will not have watched the video by bedtime.’

'Hindi niya napanood ang video bago matulog.'

Now find the mistake in the next sentence.

Ngayon hanapin ang pagkakamali sa susunod na pangungusap.

‘Ryan will not have be to Cuba by summer.’

'Hindi na pupunta si Ryan sa Cuba sa tag-araw.'

This is the negative form because we have ‘will not have’.

Ito ang negatibong anyo dahil mayroon tayong 'hindi magkakaroon'.

That's correct.

Tama iyan.

But we need the past participle of ‘be’.

Ngunit kailangan natin ang past participle ng 'maging'.

So we need to change it to ‘been’.

Kaya kailangan nating baguhin ito sa 'naging'.

‘Ryan will not have been to Cuba by summer.’

'Hindi nakapunta si Ryan sa Cuba sa tag-araw.'

The last sentence says, ‘I will have go to school by 8 30 a.m.’

Ang huling pangungusap ay nagsasabing,

'Pupunta ako sa paaralan ng 8 30 am'

Here, we have the affirmative, ‘will have’.

Dito, mayroon kaming afirmative, 'magkakaroon'.

But, uh oh, we forgot the past participle of ‘go’ which is ‘gone’.

Pero, uh oh, nakalimutan natin ang past participle ng 'go' na 'wala na'.

‘I will have gone to school by 8 30 a.m.’

'Pupunta ako sa paaralan ng 8 30 am'
