English Pronunciation: bear, beer, bird, beard

Hello, ladies and gentlemen. What's up? I am Chad from RealLife English, and today I

have an awesome, kickass, super duper pronunciation lesson for you guys. In this very quick 2

minute pronunciation lesson I'm gonna be teaching you the difference between the words

So the big difference in all of these words are the different vowel sounds. So first of

all the sound of BEAR

As you can see it's a long "airrrrrrrr" sound. So repeat after me...

The next word is BEER.

It's an "eeeeee" sound so...

So bear compared to beer

The next sound is an 'eeerrrrrr' sound, in the word bird.

The bird. Ok, the 'eeerrrrrr' sound bird.

And lastly, BEARD.

So this is the same sound as the word BEER but you are just adding the D and the end.

BEARD

So just to repeat those 4 words were

So repeat this phrase after me. The bird spilled some beer in the bear's beard.

One more time, really quickly...
