When you sign your name, you're putting down your signature. 

이름을 서명하면 서명을 적는 것입니다.

Sign and signature. These two words are related  but let's look at the first four letters, 

서명하고 서명하십시오. 이 두 단어는 서로 관련되어 있지만 처음 네 글자를 살펴보면

they're pronounced differently in the  word sign than in the word signature. 

단어 서명과 단어 기호에서 다르게 발음됩니다.

In the word sign, there is no G sound. 

워드부호에는 G발음이 없습니다.

S, Ai diphthong, N. Sign. But in the word signature,  

S, Ai 이중모음, N. Sign. 하지만 서명이라는 단어에서는 이중

that diphthong changes to the IH vowel, SI  and now we do say the G, sig, sig, signature. 

모음이 IH 모음인 SI로 바뀌고 이제는 G, sig, sig, 서명을 말합니다.
