Father's Day is fast approaching, it'll be here  next month. So I think it's a good idea to learn

some vocabulary about fathers and about  Father's Day. Our first word here is paternity,

paternity, and paternity is a noun that means the  state of being a father. If you are a father, then

It also has an adjective form, and this word  is paternal, paternal. And paternal means

Patriarch, is a noun that means the male leader  of the family and, it's very similar to another

word in English called matriarch, which just  means the female leader of the family. Okay,

so let's look at patriarch in a sentence.  For example, the patriarch of my family
