sorry about my voice i'm not a very good singer  but that doesn't matter for this lesson welcome  

back it's great to see you again today i will show  you how you can learn english through songs some  

of you may think this is a bad idea because you  don't like to sing or you may feel self-conscious  

or embarrassed about your singing but don't worry  your ability to sing doesn't matter for this  

lesson so how can you learn english through songs  and singing in english the first step is to choose  

a song your first time trying you should choose a  song that isn't too challenging or too fast-paced  

make sure that it's a song where you can hear  the words clearly also make sure that it's a song  

that you really enjoy because you will be  listening to the song many times for this  

lesson i'll be using an example song called the  winner by the band the tape machines once you  

choose the song you want to use you should listen  to the song with the lyrics there are many sites  

online where you can find free song lyrics i went  to songlyrics.com for the example song as you read  

the lyrics while listening you should take notes  of any words or phrases that you don't understand  

once you understand the lyrics play the song and  sing the lyrics with the song do this a couple of  

times until you are comfortable with the song next  you can start to study the song in parts first  

you'll start to memorize the chorus the chorus is  the part of the song that comes after every verse  

and it's repeated several times throughout the  song listen to this chorus from the example song  

you want to practice the course many times until  you have it completely memorized now that you have  

the course memorized go ahead and memorize the  first verse listen to our example song first verse

you're like a circle that floats  around me keeping me safe and sound  

and when i fall you tied a rope to me  

memorize each verse in a song one by one until  you know the song by heart without reading the  

lyrics to know something by heart means to know  something very well now sing the song all the  

time sing the song in the shower in your car sing  a song anywhere you are alone sing the song until  

you get tired of singing the song and then you  can choose another song to learn i think this  

method can help you improve your english fluency  and learn new words and phrases so go ahead find
