How to use the verb 'have got'

I've got a guitar. You’ve got a guitar? I've got a guitar too.

私はギターを持っています。 ギターを持っていますか？ ギターも持っています。

Aha, he’s got a guitar.

ああ、彼はギターを持っています。

And she’s got a guitar.

そして彼女はギターを持っています。

We've got guitars.

私たちはギターを持っています。

And they've got guitars.

Have got means the same as have, but have got is more informal and is

have got は have と同じ意味ですが、 have got はより非公式で

more common in British English.

When we use ‘have got’ with a pronoun, we often use a contraction.

代名詞で「have got」を使用するときは、短縮形 を使用することがよくあります。

For example, I have got a book becomes I've got a book.

With he, she and it, have becomes has,

he, she and it で have は has

and we also use a contraction.

For example, she has got long hair becomes she's got long hair.

To make a negative sentence, use have, plus not, plus got.
