How to use the verb ‘can’

I can speak Korean.

But I can't speak French.

でもフランス語は話せません。

Sorry, je suis... I can't speak French.

We use can and can't to talk about ability.

can と can't を使っ て能力について話します。

For example, I can play guitar.

たとえば、私はギターを弾くことができます。

But I can't draw.

でも描けない。

Ta-dah. She can fly.

タダ。 彼女は飛ぶことができます。

But she can't sing.

しかし、彼女は歌えません。

But he can't dance.

We form a sentence with subject, plus can, plus verb.

主語 ＋can＋動詞で文を作ります。

For example, I can swim.

たとえば、私は泳ぐことができます。

To make a negative sentence, it's subject, plus can't, plus verb.

否定文を作るには 、主語＋can't＋動詞です。

For example, I can't sing.

たとえば、私は歌えません。

Can and can't always stay the same.

常に同じままでいることはできません。

For he, she, they, you, I, it, it's always can and can't.

彼、彼女、彼ら、あなた、私、それは、 常にできることとできないことです。

To make a question, it's can, plus subject,

質問を作成するには、can、主語、

plus verb.

および動詞です。

For example, can you sing? No, I can't.

例えば歌えますか？ いいえ、できません。

Can you roll your tongue? Yes, I can.

But, when we use can with a verb, it often sounds like kin.

But, when we're giving a short answer to a question,

We also use this for permission.

For example, at school you might ask your teacher,
