Marital status refers to  whether you're married or not.

결혼 상태는 결혼 여부를 나타냅니다.

If you're not married, you're single.

결혼하지 않았다면 싱글입니다.

If two people plan to get  married, they're engaged.

두 사람이 결혼할 계획이라면 약혼한 것입니다. 귀하와

The person you're engaged to is your  fiancé(e). Note the different spellings.

If you were married, but you ended  the marriage, you're now divorced.

Some couples have separated, but  they haven't legally divorced.

Some people are widows or widowers.  A widow is a woman whose husband
