ONE HOUR ENGLISH LESSON - English Vocabulary and Grammar To Sound Fluent!

In this one hour English lesson, you're going to correct common grammar mistakes and learn

advanced vocabulary so you can sell fluid in your daily life. And to make this lesson

more interactive and fun, you'll complete quizzes along the way. Let's get started.

First, let's talk about how to correctly use the verbs recommend suggest and advise because

I hear mistakes with these three verbs every single day. Now make sure you watch right

to the end because I'm also going to share how to use experience because it's a little

bit different. But it's very important that you learn that too because I hear that mistake

every day with my students. So let's say you're at a restaurant, you're looking through the

menu and then you ask your server, what would you recommend me? Or you're discussing a problem

with your boss and you ask, what would you suggest me? What do you think about these

sentences? Are these sentences grammatically correct or incorrect? What do you think? Well

being sentences you can't say what would you recommend me for just me yet? I hear it every

single day. In fact, I hear this so much from students that it's starting to sound normal

just because I hear it every single day and I have to remember, that's not correct. And

the reason why this is incorrect is because the sentence structure is incorrect. Following

the verb recommend suggest we do not want an object pronoun me. It is an object pronoun.

The good news is there's a very easy way to fix this. Don't see me if you're at a restaurant

saying what would you recommend? If you're talking to your boss say, what do you suggest

that all you need to do because grammatically from a sentence structure, we don't want the

object pronoun. Now let's take a look at this example I saw on you blush. The example is

I recommend you find 150 books. Now this is where students get confused because they see

you i recommend you So why can I say what would you recommend me? Because this new is

the not an object pronoun. It's tricky because you is both the subject pronoun I, you he

she it we they and you is also the object pronoun. Me you him her but in this sentence

of being you is a subject pronoun. Now you'll notice here we have our verb recommend, and

then following the verb recommend we have a clause a clause is a subject, a verb, and

then object. I recommend you is the subject. Find is the verb 150 books is the object.

Now, in written English you can use that to connect record recommend and book cause. I

recommend that I suggest that it's optional. And in written English, it's most commonly

included but in spoken English is most commonly left out. So based on what I just said, What

do you think about this sentence and then doctor suggested me to lose weight. Is this

sentence correct? or incorrect? What do you think? The doctor suggested me to lose weight?

It's long. You can't say this. Because me is an object pronoun. And we do have a verb

but the verb isn't even conjugated with anything is just in the infinitive form. So remember,

we need recommand suggests plus Applause Applause is a subject, a verb and an object. So how

can we fix this sentence? We can say the doctor recommended that I lose weight I ever subject

lose is our verb. Notice the verb is conjugated with the subject, and our object is weight.

Remember that is optional. Most likely I'll keep it in with written English and I'll leave

it out with spoken English. The doctor recommended I lose weight. Another quiz for you. What

do you think about this sentence? Would you recommend me for the promotion? Why do you

recommend me for the promotion? What do you think? Is this good or bad? This is good.

Don't be confused. I'm going to make this very clear for you. Would you recommend me

for the promotion? In this sentence? I am not receiving the recommendation. I am the

recommendation because you can recommend something. For example, I recommend the duck. If you're

at a restaurant and you're looking for different items, there's chicken, fish and duck. I recommend

the duck. That's a something. So in this case, I am the recommendation I'm the recommendation

for the promotion. Think of it like this. Your boss asks you Oh should we recommend

for the promotion? Who should we recommend? We should recommend Jennifer? Of course, why

wouldn't you? We should recommend Jennifer, I am the recommendation. So in my question,

remember I asked my colleague would you recommend me for the promotion? This is not the same

as saying what would you recommend me? Because that is incorrect. In that case, I'm receiving

the recommendation. I am not the recommendation. I'm receiving it. And then you don't want

an object pronoun and you simply say what would you recommend? I recommend the duck.

Who would you recommend? I recommend Jennifer. There's another sense of structure you need

to know and not recommend suggest plus Jaron? Jaron is your verb and ing. For example, I

recommend drinking eight glasses of water a day. I recommend ordering the duck. Now

let's talk about advice. You can say he advised signing the contract. So what do you notice

here? What's the sentence structure? What do we have right here? Well, of course we

have advise plus Geron so this is the same thing we can do with recommend or suggest.

You can also say your mind, I signed the contract. So what do you notice about this sentence

structure? Well, it's five plus dot, which is optional. And then we have our clause,

subject, verb and then are all jet. So when is also the exact same sentence structure

you can use with recommend or suggest. Now, what about this sentence? He advised me to

sign the contract, advise me. He advised me. What do you think? Is this correct or incorrect?

Well, this is so with this specific verb advice, you can have a pronoun you can advise someone,

but notice what met we have our infinitive to these birds. He advised me. He advised

him he advised for he advise you to sign to go to eat to drink, any infinitive, and then

our object, the contract. So when bind is more flexible, you can use it with the Jaren

the clause and you can even say advise me. So now let's talk about explain. Because I

hear this every single day Teacher, can you explain me how to use the present perfect.

What do you think about that? Can you explain me? Is that correct or incorrect? Well, you

should know this by now. It's wrong. You don't explain someone you explain to someone. Here's

why I saved explain for the end, but I really wanted you to learn it because it's the same

thing we don't want an object pronoun. Explain me. No. Explain explained to me. That's all

you need to do. You need to add that preposition to because you explain to someone. Now most

commonly we use the structure explain something to someone. Can you explain the present perfect

to me. Now if it's obvious that you're the one receiving the explanation, you don't even

have to say it. You don't need to say to me, to him, to us to them. If it's obvious, you

didn't just say can you explain the present perfect, that's fine. But you don't want to

say can you explain me? So please take the time to study and learn what I've taught you

in this video because you will not sound fluent really will not sound natural. You will not

pass your IELTS or in your language exam. If you say recommend me, explain me that's

a beginner mistake, but I hear all my students in Bound students from every background, use

that sense of structure. So take the time watch this video multiple times to really

understand the sentence structure and then leave some examples in the comments below

because you really need to practice it the correct way and get lots of repetitions with

other videos. Notice I just use our three sentence structures. I'm also going to recommend

that you want to other videos because they're related and they'll really help you understand

Those are the now forms of the verb. The second video is on the difference between a bias

and advise the noun and the verb because I hear in the States with both of these all

the time. So I'll leave the links to those videos in the description below. Now let's

talk about how to use anyway any wave anyhow and any who? And there'll be a quiz at the

end. First let's talk about any way and any ways. What's the difference? Between these

two? Well is very simple. One of these words is semantically correct. And the other is

slang. Do you know which one is slang? Well, any ways women is slang. It doesn't exist

in English as a word. This may surprise you because native speakers use any ways all the

time. In fact, I would say that any ways within us is just as common as any way even though

technically any wave with an AAF is not a word in English. It fled. Regardless, you

will hear anyways, in formal situations like TED talks or oral presentations, even from

politicians and doctors. You will hear any ways being used all the time. Or remember

any way without the ads any way is the grammatically correct choice in any situation. Now let's

talk about how we use any way and any how they have the exact same meaning. They're

interchangeable which means you can use any way or you can use anyhow it doesn't matter.

They're both adverbs, and they have three common meanings. So let's review each meaning

and we'll look at example sentences. The first meaning we use any way and anyhow to mean

in any case without regard to other considerations. For example, let's say you're planning of

family dinner at a new restaurant you want to try but you're not sure if this restaurant

takes reservations. You might say to your family member. I'm not sure if the restaurant

takes reservations any way all call tonight. So this means without regard to other consideration

in any case. So it doesn't matter if the restaurant takes reservations or doesn't take reservations,

you're going to call remember you can use anyhow and they have the exact same meaning

so I could say I'm not sure if the restaurant takes reservations all call tonight anyhow.

Notice I changed the placement of the adverb. The placement can come at the beginning of

the sentence or at the end of the sentence. There's no difference between these two anyway

and anyhow are also used when you provide a more important reason or consideration.

Let's say you find out about a work conference, but you decide you're not going to go. You

can say the conference is out of town. That's one reason you're not going to go is out of

town, which means it's not in your city or your location is in a different city are different

locations. So that's one reason but you want to provide a more important reason why you're

not going to the conference. You can say the conference is out of town and I have another

meeting that day anyway. So the fact that you have another meeting is more important

than the fact that the conference is out of town. And we use the adverb any way to show

that with this meaning the placement of the adverb is also flexible. And it can come at

the beginning of the sentence or the end of the sentence. So I could also say the conference

is out of town. And anyhow, I have another meeting that day. Notice it came at the beginning

of the sentence, but I put the adverb and to act as a transition word and anyhow, so

you will commonly see anyhow or any way with a small adverb like and BOD so in front of

it, that doesn't change the meaning in any way, in any way. And you can just get rid

of it and the sentence will be the same. The conference is out of town. Anyhow, I have

another meeting that day. The final way we use anyway and anyhow is as a transition word,

to transition from one conversation topic to another conversation topic. And this might

be the most common way it's used and this might be the way you're most comfortable using

it. And you can use any way or anyhow it doesn't matter. And of course, you can use any ways

but remember that slang, so let's say you're having a conversation with your friend and

you're talking about one subject work, you're talking about work, work. Work is really busy

at work right now, and we need to hire another accountant. But now you don't want to talk

about work anymore with your friend. You want to change the topic. You can say. Anyway,

how was Italy? So your friend just got back from this vacation, and you want to now change

the topic from work to your friend's vacation, where it's really busy now we need to hire

another accountant anyhow, how was Italy tell me about Italy. Again, you can use any way

or anyhow but with this meaning to change conversation topics. We most commonly put

the adverb at the beginning of the second sentence. So we don't commonly put it at the

end of the sentence. And you can still use another transition word like and so but you're

talking about work, we need to hire another accountant. So anyway, and anyway, but anyway,

how was Italy? Now finally, let's talk about the difference between any how and any who

and then go is a slang replacement to anyhow, you can use it the exact same way you use

anyhow Remember though, it's slang. Now notice the spelling because most commonly when we

use this in a text message, for example, it spelled any who age Oh, that's because we're

boring from the word how and we're just changing it slightly to who? So you may see it written

as any who, but it's more commonly written as any who in pronunciation, there is no difference

at all. Any who is a fun, light hearted casual way to say anyhow, but keep in mind that it

isn't commonly used. Remember I said that any ways even though in slang it's used 50%

of the time. That's not the same with any who anyone who isn't very common, and then

found some native speakers depending on the region they're from. They might not even know

what it is and they may think you just made a mistake and you meant to say anyhow so because

it isn't very commonly use and because it's slang, I don't recommend using it. Now you

know how to use anyway any ways anyhow and anywho Are you ready for your quiz? Here are

daily speech. And there'll be a quiz at the end of this section. Our first phrasal verb

ask around when you ask around it means you ask a number of different people for advice,

information or help. Now notice what I said on number of different people. If you just

ask one person you're not asking around, you have to ask many different people. So I would

say 345 or more people but not one or two people. So let's say your friend is in the

same industry as you and your friend wants to know if anyone in your company is hiring

because we need the job. Now you could say I don't know but I'll ask around. I'll ask

around. So what are you doing? You're committing to asking three four or more people if they're

hiring, right? Imagine if you work in a large organization and there are 510 15 or 20 different

departments, different sections within that organization. Well then you could go to every

one of those sections and ask Hey, are you hiring? Are you hiring? Are you hiring? Are

you hiring? And then after you ask around, you can come back and let your friend know

the result. Oh, actually, this person is hiring or sorry, I asked around, but nobody's hiring.

So when you use ask around, your friend knows at least that you ask many different people.

You didn't just ask one person because that wouldn't be very helpful unless you worked

for a small organization and there's only one person who does the hiring right. Now

you can ask around for any information or any advice or any help that you need. Our

next phrasal verb to come across something. When you come across something it means you

find it by chance. So by account that means accidentally you weren't looking for it specifically

so you found it accidentally by chat. You came across it. Now the it is always a something.

It can be an object. So for example, you can say I came across this antique vase when I

was cleaning out my closet. So of course when you were cleaning out your closet, you weren't

looking for an empty vase. Right? You just moved all these boxes and all of a sudden

Wow, this anti Bayes you found it by accident. You came across it, so you can use it for

any object. Now we commonly use this for information. So you might say, Oh, I came across this interesting

study today. So you can imagine you weren't looking for that particular study. Let's say

you were just browsing on social media or you were browsing on Google or you're browsing

the headlines. of the day, and all of a sudden you see a headline for this interesting study.

You weren't looking for it on purpose. You came across it. Our next phrasal verb to blurt

out when you blurt something out it means you see something without really thinking

about it. So often the things that you blurt out you instantly think oh, I shouldn't have

said that. Why did I blurt that out? So often people will blurt things out when they're

nervous. Right? Or even when they're angry, and they're not really thinking and then they

just do something. They might say something mean like you've never helped me around the

house. And then the second you say it you, you regret it because you don't actually feel

that way. It just came out. You blurted it out. You said it without really thinking about

it. So we've all been there. We've all done that. We've all regretted it as well. So this

is something you probably don't want to do. You don't want to work things out. Our next

phrasal verb to check something or to check someone out. Now I'm sure you know this phrasal

verb in the context of a hotel. You check in and out of a hotel you check in when you

arrive and you check out when you leave right oh, I'm checking out at five what time is

checkout. But there's another way we're going to use this phrasal verb don't get me wrong

check out of a hotel is very useful, but I'm assuming you already know how to use MT one.

Now you can also check something out. Or you can check someone out when you check something

or someone out if when you want to draw someone's attention to something specific. So let's

say you're walking down the street and there's this amazing car a Lamborghini and then you

ever seen a Lamborghini in your city before? You would say to your friend, check it out.

Check out that Lamborghini, check that Lamborghini out and then you would probably make some

sort of motion like a pointing in the direction of the car. As you say, check it out. Check

out that Lamborghini and what you're doing is you're drawing your friends attention to

something specific. Now remember, You can also check someone out. So let's say a woman

is walking down the street and she's wearing the exact same sweater as the friend your

web. You might say, check her out. Check her out. She's wearing the same sweater as you.

And again, you would probably point because you want your friends attention to go to a

specific point right? So it's useful to use your body language to let your friend know

where you want them to put their attention. So this is an extremely common phrasal verb.

native speakers use it as a regular part of our vocabulary and I highly recommend you

use it as well. Our next one to figure out when you figured something out, it means that

you solve a problem, you find a solution to a problem. So this is a very common phrasal

verb. We use this a lot when we're looking for the solution. So I will say, I can't figure

out how to update this app. Or I can't figure out why this app isn't working. I can't figure

out what to do next. So we commonly use this with the W H word and we commonly use figure

out in the negative as well, but you can definitely use figure out in the positive to talk about

arriving at a solution I figured out so when the past simple I figured out how to update

this app, I finally figured out how to update this app, I finally figured out why this app

wasn't working. So you can use it in the positive as is commonly used in the negative. Our next

one Calm down, calm down, calm down, everything. Everything's all right. You need to calm down.

This is a very common one, and we use it to tell someone to relax. So that's exactly what

it means relax and relax is very common as well. So you can say to someone, relax, relax,

or you can say Calm down, calm down. So if a friend or family member or anyone is really

stressed out, then you can just say, calm down. I'm down. Now thinking about our last

one to figure out remember, we use that when you're trying to solve a problem or find a

solution. So you could commonly tell someone to calm down when they're stressed out because

they can't figure something out. Right? I just use three phrasal verbs Calm down, stressed

out and figure out so there you go. You can definitely combine these all together and

native speakers commonly do it's very common that a native speaker will say one sentence

with three or more phrasal verbs in it and that's why it's really important for you to

get comfortable with them and add them to your vocabulary. Our next phrasal verb to

dress up. When you dress up. It means you were nicer than normal women. Now notice I

think nicer than normal. Because there is no one definition of dress up somebody's idea

of what nicer than normal clothing is could be very different from someone else's idea,

right? So if you normally wear ripped jeans and a T shirt, and then you wear the khaki

pants, and a button down shirt, you are dressed up because you're wearing nicer than normal

clothing. And your friends would probably say hey man, why are you dressed up today?

Because they know you always wear ripped jeans and a T shirt. So for them to see you in other

polls, it would be quite surprising, right? So they want to know Hey, why are you dressed

up? And of course there are many times when you dress up for example, job interviews,

wedding anniversary, specially then anything like that you're going to wear nicer than

normal clothes. Our next one to fill up. When you fill something out. It just means to fulfill

something completely. So the off you can just think of it as 100% it is filled up 100% Remember

back in the day when you would go to a gas station and they would actually pump your

gas for you. I mean maybe in the country you're in they still pump or gas for you but in North

America they don't pump your gas for you anymore. You do it yourself. But back in the day, you

would go to a gas station you would roll down your window and they would ask you how much

how much gas do you want? Now one of the most common replies was lit up. Fill it out. What

does that mean? Fill it 100% So give me as much gas as the car can handle. Fill it up.

Our next one to show up. This is extremely common. It has a simple meaning it just means

a line or to appear. So isn't really that common to say, oh, what time do John arrive

to the party? It sounds a little formal to be honest. I would say oh, it's like a John

show up. What time did John show up? What time did John show up to the party which is

just the exact same thing as saying arrive is just a more natural conversational ways

to say it. And our final phrasal verb to leave something out when you need something else.

It means you omit it, you exclude it you don't include it. So of course in this video on

the Top 10 phrasal verbs there are many many many many many morani phrasal verbs that I

left out to be honest, it should be the top 1000 phrasal verbs because that is probably

how many are commonly used by native speakers on a day to day basis. But of course I can't

make a video on the Top 1000 phrasal verbs because that would be a 10 hour video and

that's just crazy. So I had to leave out many phrasal verbs. So there are times when you

purposely leave out information. You purposely leave something out but it's also possible

that you left it out accidentally. So your boss could ask you Oh, why did you leave out

the chart? Why did you leave out the chart? So you didn't include the chart in the report?

Oh, why did you leave out the chart? Oops, I didn't mean to. I forgot to include it.

So you accidentally left it out. And then you might be in trouble because it should

be in the report. So you can use this both when you purposely leave something out, or

it could be accidental as well. So now you have the top 10 phrasal verbs added to your

vocabulary to help you sound fluent and natural and professional in English. So are you ready

comments below. Now let's talk about something that I get a lot of questions on and that's

the difference between each every and each and every so each booth refers to an individual

object or person, okay? And that's the important part and individual object or person. So when

I say each student wrote the test, I'm looking at Goby as a student, Alexander as a student

ally as a student, and I'm viewing them as individuals. Each student wrote the test.

Now every it refers to a group, a group of objects or people but important to know that

that group is viewed as one Okay, so when I say every student wrote the test, I'm imagining

that go we Alexandre and Ali are just one group that's made up of three individuals.

So each, we're referring to an individual, every it's a group Okay? Notice, with every

hear, because it's viewed as one. It's a group, then it's a compound noun. And that's important

because notice, are now is singular, because even though my group has three students, and

students plural, but I'm viewing it as one so as a compound now, you want a singular

now, every student wrote the test. So this is incorrect. As you can see, my spell checker

doesn't like it. It wants me to change it to student he has with us that it cracked

you can't see that. Now, if you only have two objects or two people, then you have to

use H. You can't use a brain. Okay, so here I have two hands, right? So we can use objects

or people. So I have two hands and I can say I have a rag on each hand. I can't say I have

a ring on every hand because I only have two hands, and we don't use every with two. So

just remember that each it has to be two objects. Now you could also, you know, I have a ring

on each hands, you can say that, but I could also say I have a ring on both hands. Now

notice here when I use both you are putting an S on the now. So with both you have a plural

noun that follows. And with both, I'm just looking at this and this together. Okay? But

with each remember if that individual so my left hand and my right hand but I'm still

seeing my hands as individual here. I'm seeing my hands just together as two but remember,

we can't use every with two so how about this one? She has a ring on every finger. Now notice

here we can see this because we have more than two fingers right so finger is simpler

because we're using every even though it represents 10. Or if you want to be a stickler for the

rule then it would be eight because technically your thumbs or fingers so you can think of

it as eight or 10 whichever you'd like. So in this case, if you have more than two objects

or people honestly you can use each or every so here I could also say she has a ring on

each finger because I have more than two fingers. So in that case you can use each you can use

every. So if there are 20 students in my class, I could say each student pass the test. Every

student pass the test. And there's really no difference in these sentences. The choice

is yours. Just remember to make it singular. Now each and every This is commonly done where

we just put them together each and every student pass the test. So notice it's still singular.

And why would we do this? Why would we put it together? Similar to our last one. It's

just us to add emphasis. That's it. So if I say each student has the test, compared

to each and every student passed the test, this one it just sounds way more emphatic.

And that's the only difference. Now let's talk about the difference between a regarded

as and considered first, let's take a look at these two examples. She is regarded as

an expert. She's considered an expert. Both of these examples have the exact same meaning

there's no difference at all. And both of them are just used to say you have an opinion

on a topic or there's a general consensus on a topic. So when we say she's regarded

as an expert, she's considered an expert. We're saying the general consensus is she's

an expert. Most people have the opinion that she's an expert. That's what it means. So

a very simple meaning. It's a ninth advanced expression that you can use to sound more

advanced in your speech. Well, what do you notice about the sentence structure Well,

you might notice that in the first one we have regarded, we're using as she's regarded

as an expert, but then with considered we don't have she's considered an expert. So

there's not a difference in sentence structure. Now this is actually a mistake that many native

speakers make many new native speakers will say she's considered as an expert, but you

don't need to do that because considered is not a verb that requires us so there's no

reason to include it at all. But remember, you will hear native speakers use it from

time to time. My recommendation to you is don't use it because it's not required and

it sounds more awkward to have it but you need to use it with regarded as you cannot

say she's regarded an expert. That sounds very awkward. It's mandatory to have she is

regarded as an expert. Now one thing you can do with considered is you can use the verb

to be she is considered to be an expert. Now this is grammatically correct, but it isn't

necessary. You don't need to use the verb to be you can just use considered and then

the opinion you think the opinion of an expert he's considered an expert so that would be

my recommendation to you. So let's look at an example I saw on you blush using regarded

but gossip celebrity gossip is regarded as a distraction. So we're gonna hear we have

our opinion, celebrity gossip is a distraction. So you can simply make a statement like that

it sounds more affirmative. Like you're stating a fact. So if you want to make it sound like

it's not a fact is an opinion held by many people is the general consensus, then you

can use regarded as celebrity gossip is regarded as a distraction. Many people think that many

people have the opinion. Now let's look at an example on you bullish using considered.

node.js is considered fast thanks mostly to Chrome's VA engine. So notice here we don't

say considered as fast although remember I said probably about 10 to 20% of native speakers

will just use as because they probably are thinking about regarded as and they just use

the same pattern, but you don't need it and it sounds better without it because the verb

does not require as grammatically. So there's no point using node.js which I have no idea

what that is some sort of programming language. I'm going to assume. Do you know what Node

js is? You can let me know in the comments. I don't even know if I'm saying it correctly.

node.js is considered that. So remember, I can make a statement and just say node.js

is fast, but then it sounds like it's a fact it says 100% of the time, but if I just want

to make it sound like it's an opinion is what most people think it's the general consensus.

Then I can use considered node.js is considered fat. Remember, you can add that optional to

be it's considered to be fast, but again, it isn't required. So it's cleaner. It's simpler.

It's best to just say considered and then the something is considered fast. But remember

regarded as and considered have the exact same meaning. So you can definitely use them

interchangeably, but you just have to make sure you have the sentence structure correct.

So I could say celebrity gossip is considered distraction. Or I could say no.js is regarded

as that. It doesn't matter which one you use, but just make sure you get the sentence structure

when you use each one. So now it's your turn to practice. I want you to lead to Example

one with regarded as and one with considered in the comments below. Finally, let's talk

about how to use regardless and regarding. So of course they both start with the word

regard, but they don't have the same meaning and they're not used in the same way at all.

So let's start with regardless. The structure is regardless all and then something. Now

when we use this weird thing that says something does not matter. We're not going to take it

into account at all we're going to ignore it. For example, you might see an advertisement

that says our club accepts everyone regardless of age, sex. race, gender, and then they list

other qualities as well. So remember, those are the something regardless of something

so one of them was age. What we're saying here is age does not matter in the decision

of who we accept. Into the club. So you could be 18 or 80. It does not matter. We accept

everyone into our club regardless of age. Another way we use this is when we want to

say that there's a negative, then we use regardless, and then we see something positive. So let

me explain what I mean by this. I would say I don't have all the skills on this job posting.

So let's say there's a job posting I'm interested in applying for it and I'm reading the job

posting and I realized I don't have that I don't have that I don't have that. So that's

a negative right. I don't have all the skills on this job posting. Regardless, I'm going

to apply anyway so that's the positive negative I don't have the skills regardless, and then

my positive action I'm going to apply anyway. Now notice here I just use the word regardless,

I didn't say regardless of something because in this case, the something has been already

identified, and it's obvious so to say it again, would be quite repetitive. It would

be like saying, regardless of the fact that I don't have all the skills, I'm going to

apply anyway. That would be very long, very complex and not necessary at all. So when

the something has been already identified, we can use regardless as a transition word

to connect a negative idea and then a positive idea. So a contrasting idea. Now let's talk

about regarding regarding something that's our sentence structure, nouns This means with

respect to something or concerning something. So we're identifying the context of what were

talking about when we say regarding something. Now remember, my previous example was our

club accepts everyone regardless of age, gender, race background. Now imagine that before that

information was given someone asked a question, and they said regarding your application,

who does the club accept? So now I'm identifying what the topic is regarding your application

process regarding your selection decision regarding your requirements regarding your

rules and regulations. So I'm identifying it because you can imagine I could be in a

meeting and we can be talking about many different things. Regarding the marketing plan regarding

the financial report regarding the vacation request. So I use regarding before I identify

the subject so everyone knows the context we commonly use regarding at the very beginning

regarding x and then you state your information or you ask the question, well, we don't have

to we can use regarding in the sentence. So I might say I have a question regarding your

clubs policies, or I have a question regarding the marketing reports. So notice how I'm using

it toward the end of the sentence. So now you know the difference between regardless
