finalists if you completed the language marathon then well done to you

that is fantastic. So for those of you who didn't get a

chance to take part the first time around or if you did take part but you

didn't manage to complete and you're raring to give it another go then now is

your chance

there are however some differences this time around. Having learnt a few things

from the first marathon Lingoda have made some changes but don't you worry

I'm going to go through everything with you right now so that you can decide

whether you have exactly what it takes to run this language marathon, oh I need

to work on those. In a nutshell, which means in short, you could be taking

90 hours worth of English or German classes with a native teacher over a

three-month period for absolutely nothing that's right, do all the lessons

and you get a full refund, apart from a teeny tiny little entrance fee which

literally is the cost of a chocolate bar. Sounds interesting right? Let's take a

look at the details. First things first what is this language marathon all about

and why are Lingoda running it? Well it's a way to incentivise you to work hard, to

really boost your language skills and to give you more confidence when you're

speaking in the language that you're trying to learn. Now this marathon is

open for those of you who want to learn German or English which is good for most

of you as I assume you're learning English and that's why you're here. The

marathon will run for three consecutive months and the English marathon will

start on the 2nd of May running for 3 months May, June, July, so it will run till the 31st

of July and the German marathon will start on the 1st of June running for 3

months June July August ending at the end of August. Now please take note that

the English marathon starts on the 2nd of May not the 1st of May and that's

because the 1st of May is a public holiday so most people will be enjoying

some time off work, having a barbecue, just lounging around or doing some DIY

perhaps. On each of the marathons you will take part in 30 classes per month

one class per day so one class per day 30 classes per month for three months.

That's where the dedication and commitment comes in.

Yeah that's a huge saving. So when you sign up for the marathon you pay a small

entrance fee, however if you are a subscriber to this channel and you

discount and that entrance fee will just be ...yeah tiny amount. So you pay that to

enter that's non-refundable.

Now don't panic, I said payment, this is how it works. In

advance you pay for each month, so just before the start of each month you'll

pay upfront for that month, but if you complete all 30 classes in each month

then you will get a 100% refund so 30 hours for three months equals 90 hours

of learning for a hundred and eighty nine euros each month which equals five

hundred and sixty-seven euros in total of which you will get a one hundred percent

refund...as long as you attend the class.

The Lingoda half marathon. The half marathon consists of taking 15 classes

per month over three months this will cost you 99 euros per month but if you

complete all fifteen classes each month then you will get a 50, yes 50% refund

which is still incredible value for money. Something to bear in mind if

you're interested in the half marathon is that you are limited to taking five

classes per week. A tip from previous marathon running

students is in order to get the slots that you want, the slots that suit your

schedule, make sure you book your classes seven days in advance, this really is the

key to success when running these marathons.

Now before you rush off and sign up a few technical details. Please make sure

that you have a computer or a laptop you cannot take part in the group lessons

using a mobile or a tablet. Also make sure that you have the Chrome or Firefox

browser and it has to be the latest version, and make sure you have a stable

internet connection. Also remember that the first payment will not come out

until the 23rd of the month and once you do sign up you are committed for the

entire marathon, the whole three months. So this is an incredible opportunity a

real chance for you to make a difference to your language skills, but are you the

because you can do the class wherever you are

at what time suits you but more so because they were interacting with

international students getting to interact with people from all over the
