Hello, welcome back to this channel! In this video,  we will understand the difference and the usage  

of the prepositions underneath, beneath, below, and under. So, let's listen to Havisha without

Why underneath? Why not under? Why not beneath? Why not below? Let's understand the  

difference between underneath, under, beneath, and below. Now, suppose if I keep a ball here

what will you say? The ball is underneath the  table, beneath the table, below the table, or  

under the table. Now suppose I keep a ball here  what will you say? The ball is underneath the  

table, beneath the table, below the table, or under  the table. What will you say? Now if I keep a bat here

some portion of the back is outside  the table whereas some portion of the  

bat is under the table what will you say?  The bat is underneath the table, beneath  

the table, below the table, or under the  table. Confused? Let me explain to you.

Now in the case when the ball is not just the ball  is not just getting covered by the table but it  

is below the level of the table in this case we  use below. The ball is below the table. But when  

the table is covering the ball the entire ball is  getting covered by the table in this case we use  

under but when this is hockey or something but  when this hockey some portion of the hockey is  

outside the table whereas some portion of the  hockey is under the table in this case we use  

beneath this hockey is beneath the table this  ball is below the table this hockey is beneath  

the table and this ball is under the table now  let's understand underneath now what is underneath

let me explain to you see if I keep a key just  sticking to the table it is just attached to  

the table by a tape or glue or something then  I will use underneath this key is underneath  

the table you might have seen in movies and  all they put cameras or guns or pistols just  

underneath underneath the table attached to the  table just by a tape glue or something like that  

so it is called underneath when the table  and the key's surface is getting touched so  

then underneath will be used when two  surfaces are getting touched like this

now tell me this phone is underneath under  beneath or below the pillow where is it it is

t-shirt is touching the surface of this shirt  that's why underneath is used I think this boy

Confused? Let me tell you. This dog is beneath  the table because some portion of the dog is  

not getting covered by the old table, or I would say the table, whereas some portion of the dog  

is getting covered by this table I think  the stable is very old or is in a garage  

and the dog this poor dog doesn't have any  new table he has to stay until he has to stay  

beneath this old table. Now tell me. Are these  flowers beneath the tree, below the tree, underneath  

the tree, or under the tree? Confused? Let me tell  you. These flowers are beneath the tree because  

some group of flowers are not getting covered  by the tree whereas some group of flowers are  

getting covered by the tree so that's the reason  beneath is used these flowers are beneath the tree

Now tell me. Is this family having a picnic under  the tree, underneath the tree, beneath the tree, or  

below the tree? Let me tell you. This family is  having a picnic under the tree. Not underneath  

the tree. Not beneath the tree. Not below the tree.  It is under the tree because the whole family is  

getting covered by this tree so that's the reason  under is used Not underneath beneath or below  

now I think this girl has his first time  seen apple and is playing with Apple  

nice funny isn't it this girl has First  time seen apple and thinks it to be a ball  

I think this girl loves Apple okay  whatever it's a nice picnic area

explained this some portion of the flowers are not  getting covered by the tree whereas some portion
