For Those Who WANT Success But DON'T Take Action

I want to talk about taking action so you can become a fluent English speaker.

This is something I sent to my subscribers recently, and many wrote back to say how much

they enjoyed hearing it, so I thought I’d share it here for everyone.

I got this short, honest mail recently:

"I’m just someone who wants success but never takes action."

This statement has been true for me at times in my life, and maybe for you as well...

So what can you do when you know you should take action, but you don't?

Here's what I do...

Pick up any small thing around you, like a pen, pencil or a book and then put that object

on your hand or a table.

(You can also just do this in your mind if you don't have anything around you at the

moment.)

Now, push the object around and notice how it does exactly what you want it to do.

You push it left and it moves left.

Push it right and it moves right.

The object is under your control.

Next, put the object down and think about yourself...

The difference between us and things like pencils is that we can choose how we react.

When we're pushed, maybe we push back.

If we fall down, we can choose to sit there and cry, or we can simply get back up.

We can choose how we react to life, and this means we're in control.

I’ve talked a lot about this in videos before because it’s such an important idea.

But many people tell me they disagree.

They say that life IS hard, or that they can’t control the things happening to them.

And to this I say, you’re right!

Whether you think your life is under your control or not, you’re correct, so why not

choose to believe you DO control it and then create the life you DO want?

This simple idea is so important because people who believe they’re in control of their

lives are the ones who take action...

These are the people who create change in their lives.

If you believe the future will be worse, or you feel you have no control over your life,

you likely won't do anything to change or improve your situation.

But when you know you control your life, you gain faith in the future, and so you act!

It's really that simple.

ALL of my successful students believe they can change because they know they control

their lives.

So have faith in yourself and you will create the future you want!

Remember: even imperfect action today is better than perfect action tomorrow.
