So I asked my favourite English teachers on YouTube for one golden tip that they give

their learners about how to learn English. I'm sure you are going to find each tip really

useful. Now once you have finished watching this video, I would like you to go and visit

all of their channels, watch their videos, subscribe and give them some love. Alright

let's get our first tip from Isabel and Philippe from Amigos Ingleses.

Hello Eat Sleep Dreamers, how's it going? I hope you are well. So what is our golden

rule for learning English Isabel? So the golden rule from Amigos Ingleses is to immerse yourself

in the language. It's as simple as that, this is what Philippe and I did so now Philippe

speaks fluent Spanish, I speak fluent English. So he came to live in Spain, I moved to Cambridge

and this meant an incredible boost for our language learning process. Didn't it Philippe?

All you have to do is get deep into the language and the culture. Yes, immerse yourself, but

you don't always have to travel to immerse yourself. You could also immerse yourself

from your own country and integrate English into your daily routine. So that means listening

to music in English, going to watch films in English, going to meet-ups and meeting

native speakers and practising your English with them. Using all the resources on the

Internet to improve your English. So there's no excuse really, you can immerse yourself

by travelling or staying in your own country. Yes and if everything fails and you are single

just find yourself an English husband or an English wife. That's pretty convenient and

cheap. I'm not cheap. Ok, everyone thank you. Thank you Tom and the dreamers. Take care,

Thank you so much Isabel and Philippe. Yes, I love that tip. Immerse yourself in the language

wherever you are in the world. One idea that I always tell my students is to turn their

phones from their native language into English so that they get used to looking at English

all the time. Because how often do we look at our phones? I mean, too many times in the

day and so if you've got your phone in English then you're having that contact with English

every day, almost all day. Now it might be a bit tricky to begin with but you'll get

used to it. I did that when I lived in Spain and Argentina. I turned my phone into Spanish.

It was great, really useful. And yes, if all else fails, yeah. Find an English partner.

Alright who is next?

Hey guys, it's Lucy from English with Lucy. The top tip that I'd like to share with you

today is fake it till you make it. If you feel shy or if you feel unconfident while

speaking English, pretend that you are confident, pretend that you know what you are talking

about until you actually do. It's something that helps me a lot with public speaking.

I know have to speak sometimes in public and I always go up, I pretend I'm confident and

slowly but surely I start to feel more confident. So that's my tip for you today, I hope you

find it useful. Thank you very much Lucy, yes confidence is such an issue especially

for learners of, well learners of any language but particularly learners of English. So this

could be a really useful technique to help you gain more confidence and believe in your

own ability. I often find practising in front of a mirror or into your voice recorder is

a great way to begin to build confidence. And then when you are in a conversation, fake

it till you make it. Why not! Fantastic, ok. Next one! Hi everybody this is Korean Billy

and I'm running a YouTube channel called Korean Billy. So a piece of advice I would like to

give you guys is start from where you are. So for example, maybe you are watching this

video in your room holding your mobile phone or you are watching this video outside, right?

So wherever you are, just look around your self and around you there are lots of kinds

of things, right? For example, there could be a mirror or there could be a mouse then

change everything you see from your native language into English. Some would be quite

easy for you to change into English and some would be a bit difficult for you to change

into English, right? Then start from there and by doing that you can kind of instantly

feel that your English skill would be improved because you would be able to start to speak

in English about things around you. So start from where you are and change everything around

you into English and then move on to the next level. Well I hope my advice could give you

an idea about learning English and thank you so much. Thanks Tom.

Thank you very much Billy and yes start from where you are. I often tell my students to

label things around the house with sticky notes. So let's say there's a word that you

can't remember. Wardrobe for example, you can never remember the word wardrobe. Well

use a sticky note, write the word wardrobe and stick it on to your wardrobe. So that

every time you go to open it up to get some clothes you see that word and it becomes fixed

in your mind. So start with the objects around and then move on from there. Ok, next one.

Hello everyone, my name is Anna English from English Like a Native and my top learning

tip is to use music. Now music is fantastic for getting information into your long term

memory. So every couple of weeks, choose a few songs that you really enjoy, look up the

lyrics, find out what all the words and phrases mean and then simply sing to your heart's

content. And before you know it, you will have increased your vocabulary, you'll have

a better understanding of sentence structure and grammar. So what are you waiting for?

Thank you Anna, very much. Yes! Music is an amazing way to learn English. I've done a

few videos on here with Ed Sheeran and Coldplay helping you learn English through those songs.

I just think that the language in songs is fantastic. You are going to get interesting

grammar structures, you are going to get new vocabulary often lot of sort of colloquial

or slang language. You are going to hear such natural English and in a fun way. Yeah I completely

agree with Anna, music is a fantastic way to learn English.

Hi, we are Joel and Lia and we've got two tips because we are two people. So it's two

for the price of one. Which is a saying we have in our super markets. So our first tip

would be , don't be afraid to throw away the text book and look for alternate methods of

learning like online. You are probably already in the right place. Don't be afraid to watch

British TV, British vloggers and listen to real people. Yep, and my biggest tip would

be not to ignore British culture. It's one thing to learn the English language really

well but if you don't learn much about British culture then it's not really going to work

because those two things come hand in hand. So chuck away the text book, learn about culture

and you are on for a winner. Thanks for having us, bye.

Hello everybody my name is Elliott and I'm from a little channel called ETJ English.

Now my piece of advice for you today is especially useful for those of you that want to improve

your pronunciation. Now what I want you to do is try to learn things in small amounts

but more often. And the reason why is when we try to learn loads of stuff in a really

long session it kind of becomes a waste of time because we forget loads of stuff, we

get stressed out and the learning process kind of becomes a chore, something we don't

want to do. So next time you try to learn or improve something I want you to take anywhere

between ten to thirty minutes but maybe two to five times per day, if you can obviously.

And really dedicate this time to focusing on one or two important things that you want

to practise or learn. And hopefully you should remember some more stuff, you won't get as

stressed and also the most important thing English will become a part of your daily life,

and that, that's what we want.

Learning anything really, but yeah learning English, yeah. Creating habits for yourself.

I totally agree, keeping it short and simple. It could be ten minutes or twenty minutes

absolutely. Doing it every day, rather than learning for three hours on one day a week,

learning in little bite sized chunks every single day. That way you are going to progress

so much quicker. Great stuff, alright who's next? I'm Sabrah from Love English and today

I'm sharing my hot tip with you all about how to personalise language so that you remember

it more easily. Now learning a language means using your memory a lot. You have to remember

the new grammar forms and the new vocabulary. However it's difficult to do that, we have

to really think and use our memories all the time. But if you personalise the language

you use, meaning make it relevant for you so make it about you. You will remember it

more easily. And this is because we remember things which are about us which are relevant

to our lives. So for example, if you learn a new adjective like to be hard-working you

could think about the fact of are you a hard-working person? Do you think you are a hard-working

person? Or maybe you think you're not. Maybe you are the opposite. Maybe you are a lazy

person. So this process of you considering these things about yourself will help you

to remember the vocabulary. You could even write a sentence like 'I'm not a hard-working

person, but my father is.' And this way hopefully you should remember it more. Thank you very

us a little bit more about this technique.

Good luck with your English guys. Personalisation, talking about your experiences. The people

you know, the places you've been. Let's looks at the present perfect as an example. I've

been to Venice, where have you been? It's no good writing about other people's experiences

because those connections here won't be made. The same goes for vocabulary. When you learn

new words try and put it in a context that you can relate to. So tourist, crowded. There

are many tourists in Venice. There were many tourists in Venice when i went there. It was

really crowded. This method should help you develop your vocabulary and remember those

grammatical structures. Hope that was helpful. Thank you Leila and Sabrah, I love that tip,

personalising the language. So i remember learning a word in Argentina called 'Quilombo'.

It's a slang word, it means a mess or a chaotic situation. Now I went to a football match

where there was a riot, there was police it was very dangerous and I remember looking

in the newspapers the next day and it said it was a quilombo, a disaster. And I have

always attached that word to that moment that I experienced. So i was using my personal

experience to connect to a word and they've been together ever since and so I won't forget

that word because I remember that situation very clearly. And finally here's my tip for

how to learn English. In my opinion the best way to learn English is to do it through your

passion. To do it through the things that you love. So if you love yoga, go onto YouTube

and type in 'yoga class' and find YouTubers that teach yoga in English. And watch their

videos, do the thing that you love, which is yoga, and listen to English and you will

pick up the important vocabulary, the topic vocabulary that's related to your passion.

You'll get their accent, you'll get their pronunciation everything will be there. If

you live in a big city, perhaps you could find a yoga class that's done in English.
