Control the Conversation in English #shorts

Have you ever been caught off guard or felt shocked by

a question that was way too personal or maybe even controversial,

like someone at work asking you, so who are you gonna vote for?

Or why don't you have kids?

It's uncomfortable when someone asks a question that is too personal,

inappropriate, rude, or invasive.

The key to handling this is knowing how to steer or control the

conversation. There are several strategies we can use to do this successfully,

and one of my favorites is to turn the question back to

the person who asked,

and in the process try to understand why are they asking me this question,

for example. That's interesting. Why do you want to know?

That's a personal question. Why are you asking? Good question,

but you first, what would you say to that?
