🧠 CEREBRAL | Advanced English Vocabulary

The word cerebral refers to part of the brain,  but we also use it to mean intellectual. 

대뇌라는 단어는 뇌의 일부를 의미 하지만 지적이라는 뜻으로도 사용합니다.

"The book is very cerebral and dense.  It's not a very good summer beach read." 

"이 책은 매우 지적이고 밀도가 높습니다. 여름 해변에서 읽기에 적합하지 않습니다."

We can also use it to describe a person who's very  intellectual, and sometimes not very emotional,  

우리는 또한 매우 지적이고, 때로는 그다지 감정적이지 않고

not very in touch with their feelings. Cerebral can be the opposite of emotional. 

자신의 감정과 잘 접촉하지 않는 사람을 묘사하는 데 사용할 수 있습니다. 대뇌는 감정의 반대가 될 수 있습니다.

"He's very emotional in making  decisions about his business." 

"그는 비즈니스에 대한 결정을 내릴 때 매우 감정적입니다 ."

"I wish he could be a little bit more  cerebral when it came to these things."

"나는 그가 이런 일에 관해서 좀 더 지적인 사람이 되었으면 좋겠습니다."
