common English phrases to ask for information  and Common phrases to say I don’t know. 

정보를 물어볼 때 자주 쓰는 영어 표현 과 잘 모르겠다고 할 때 자주 쓰는 표현입니다.

Let’s start with phrases to ask for information.: Do you have any idea______? Do you happen to  

정보를 요청하는 문구부터 시작하겠습니다.: Do you have any idea______? 혹시

know _______? These phrases are similar and are  used if it’s possible the person you are asking  

_______를 아시나요? 이 문구는 유사하며 요청하는 사람이 답을 모를 가능성이 있는 경우에 사용됩니다

doesn’t know the answer. For example, “do you have  any idea why the grocery store is closed today?”  

. 예를 들어 " 오늘 식료품점이 왜 문을 닫는지 아세요?"

“Do you happen to know why the grocery  store is closed today?” Remember,  

" 오늘 식료품점이 왜 문을 닫는지 아세요?" 기억하세요.

these phrases are used when it’s possible the  person you’re asking doesn’t know the answer.

Another common English phrase to ask for  information is: “Can you tell me____?”  

요청하는 또 다른 일반적인 영어 문구는 "Can you tell me____?"입니다.

or “Could you tell me_____?” Here, “can  you tell me?” is a bit more informal  

또는 "말해줄 수 있니 _____?" 여기서 "말해줄 수 있니 ?"

than, “could you tell me?” For example, “Can  you tell me how to get to the bus station?”  

"말해줄래?"보다 좀 더 비공식적입니다. 예를 들어 " 버스 정류장에 가는 방법을 알려주시겠어요?"

“Could you tell me how to get to the bus station?” 

"버스 정류장에 가는 방법을 알려 주시겠어요?"

The next phrase to ask for information  is “would you happen to know  

정보를 요청하는 다음 문구는 '____을(를) 알고 계십니까

____?” The word happen in this question implies  there’s chance involved. Chance is a possibility.  

?'입니다. 이 질문에서 발생하는 단어는 관련된 기회가 있음을 의미합니다. 기회는 가능성입니다.

So, you are asking about the possibility of  the person knowing the answer. For example,  

따라서 그 사람이 답을 알고 있을 가능성에 대해 질문하는 것입니다. 예를 들어

“Would you happen to know where my keys are?” Now, let’s look at some common English  

"내 열쇠가 어디 있는지 혹시 아시나요?" 이제,

phrases to say, “I don’t know with examples.” “I have no idea.” “I don’t have a clue.” A clue  

"I don't know"를 예를 들어 말할 때 흔히 사용하는 영어 표현을 살펴보겠습니다. "나는 모른다." "나는 실마리가 없습니다." 단서는 해결책을

is a piece of information that can help lead to a  solution. These two phrases have the same meaning.  

찾는 데 도움이 될 수 있는 정보입니다 . 이 두 구문은 같은 의미를 갖습니다.

Here’s an example. Do you happen to know why  

여기에 예가 있습니다.

the grocery store is closed today? B: I have no idea why it’s closed. 

식료품점이 오늘 문을 닫은 이유를 아십니까? B: 왜 문을 닫았는지 모르겠어.

B: I don’t have a clue. The next phrase to say,  

B: 실마리가 없어요. 다음으로 말할 수 있는

“I don’t know” is “I can’t help you there.”  Or “I’m not really sure.” Here’s an example: 

'모르겠어요'는 'I can't help you there.'입니다. 또는 “확실하지 않습니다.” 예를 들면 다음과 같습니다.

A: Could you tell me how  to get to the bus station? 

A: 버스 정류장에 가는 방법을 알려주시겠어요?

B: I can’t help you there B: I’m not really sure. 

B: 그곳에서는 도와드릴 수 없습니다. B: 잘 모르겠습니다.

Let’s look at some other examples: A: Would you happen to know where my keys are? 

몇 가지 다른 예를 살펴보겠습니다. A: 혹시 제 열쇠가 어디 있는지 아세요?

B: I have no idea where your keys are. A: Would you happen to know where my keys are? 

B: 네 열쇠가 어디 있는지 모르겠어. A: 혹시 제 열쇠가 어디 있는지 아세요?

B: I don’t have a clue. 

B: 실마리가 없어요.

Now you know a few common English  phrases to ask for information and
