The COVID-19 really messed up with lots of plans we all had.

Travelling, concerts and many other plans had to

be postponed so we could stay safe from contagion.

To show you how to use expressions for what you

want to do in the future, I asked some friends of

mine to share their plans.

Let’s see what they had to say, and I’ll explain to you

the expressions they use.

Things have been slowly getting better and the lockdown

could end any day now, so I’m going to start

a home workout program to keep myself in shape

and get ready to go back training when we can.

We use this expression to say that an event is definitely

going to happen very soon, but we don’t know exactly when.

I’m counting the days until I can travel again so me and my

friends can go to the beach as we had planned before

the starting of the pandemic.

It doesn’t mean that you’re actually counting the days.

It’s just that you’re waiting anxiously for

a future event to happen and you want it to happen soon.

I know the lockdown is a tough situation but I’ve set my heart

on taking the most out of it.

That’s why I’m taking some online courses so

when this whole thing is over, I will have learned a new skill.

You use this expression when you want to talk about something

that you really want to get or achieve for your future.

I decided to start my own cupcakes business

during the lockdown.

Now that it’s coming to its end, I’m really looking forward

to making my brand grow by attracting more clients.

When you are looking forward to something,

it means that you feel pleased and excited

about something that is going to happen.

Many businesses going digital is a clear sign of things to come,

so I’m going to work on a social media strategy to give my

company an opportunity to thrive in this new reality.

And finally, a sign of things to come is something that

indicates what will happen or become popular in the future.

These messages are full of hope and optimism.
