That sounds like very scared.

겁이 많은 것 같군요.

She became terrified when she found out she had to  

그녀는 프레젠테이션을 해야 한다는 사실을 알았을 때 겁이 났고

give a presentation or the  noise frightened the kids.

소음으로 인해 아이들이 겁을 먹었습니다.

Frightened instead of scared.

무섭다기보다는 겁이 났다.

Now to say extremely scared,  you can use the word petrified.

이제 극도로 겁이 난다고 말하면 석화라는 단어를 사용할 수 있습니다.

I'm petrified of spiders.

나는 거미가 무서워요.

We are.

우리는 그렇습니다.

Terrified of being wrong?

틀릴까봐 두려우신가요?

What are you frightened of ever losing?

당신은 무엇을 잃는 것을 두려워합니까?

My engagement, right It was.

I was absolutely petrified.

You can say she made the  bold decision to move abroad.

She made the bold decision or it was courageous.

It takes a lot of courage.

It was courageous of you to quit your job.

당신이 직장을 그만둔 것은 용기 있는 일이었습니다.

For the first time in my life, I understood.

How courageous she is.

그녀는 얼마나 용기 있는 사람인가.

So we were so proud of him because  he was so courageous, so visionary.

Now that's a pretty bold statement.

There are many more alternatives to  common words that I could teach you,
