How to make an EFFECTIVE study plan to learn ANY LANGUAGE | Notion Template

a huge part of success when it comes to learning  a for language is having the right mindset and the  

right plan I'm learning three languages right now  English Spanish and Chinese having a routine and  

an effective plan I can fall back into helps  me stay consistent and learn these languages  

faster when you start looking at my notion plan I  want you to learn how I study languages and maybe  

use some of my tips I want this plan to act as  an inspiration maybe we'll teach you a few new  

things but please do not think that this is the  only plan that works to study foreign languages  

of course not it will not guarantee that you will  become fluent in a foreign language but it is a  

plan that is helping me and it is something that  helps me stay consistent and make progress every  

time I create a plan for myself I always start  with my longterm goal like why am I actually  

learning Spanish or why am I actually learning  English what is my longterm goal but often times  

this long-term goal is very big right it's like  big and scary it's not something we can just  

think about and be like yeah I can do it my goal  in Spanish is to become fluent I want to become  

fluent I want to become confident I want to talk  on a lot of different topics I want my Spanish  

to be as good as my English and to be honest on  paper this goal looks very scary because I know  

how much work and how much time it took me to get  to where I am in English because I know how much  

work it took me and how much time I had to spend  to get to where I am right now in English and the  

thought of doing all this all over again sounds  very scary but this is when I have to plan all my  

steps that are going to help me to get closer to  my goal and that's why people always say that you  

should focus on your system the system you have in  place rather than your goals and when I don't have  

a lot of motivation I try to remind myself what my  life will be like if I achieve my goal if I become  

a C1 C2 speaker in Spanish and it makes me more  confident and it gives me more energy to come back  

and study Spanish when it comes to planning what I  usually do is I like to plan my study sessions on  

the weekend because if I do it this way I know  that like throughout the week I don't have to  

worry because obviously I have a full-time job I  have a lot of other responsibilities and sometimes  

I just don't have enough time to book a class  with my teacher so that's why I prefer to do all  

of that on the weekend sometimes our plans change  and it's important to be flexible yes but at the  

same time when I open my Google Calendar and I  see like all of those times already blocked off  

to study Spanish to study English or Chinese for  examp example I understand that I have to do it  

like there's no way out I can't be just like I'm  too tired I'm too lazy no I booked a class I have  

to do it and there's one tool that I've recently  discovered for myself that is now helping me to  

memorize new words and also use them in context  and this language learning app is called speakly

are used so basically they're relevance of  importance so basically how statistically  

relevant those words are and they teach you these  words in context this method was put together over

fun and also when I'm listening to a song I can  learn new vocabulary and I can practice this new  

vocabulary as well and finally I do a role play  this kind of real life situation because I live  

in Mexico it's important for me to be able to  talk to people on real topics and learn words

and tell you how I organize how I plan my language  learning if you're an organization freak you're  

going to love it but I promise you it's very  simple so if you're completely new to all of this  

you're going to like it a lot too the main page  for language learning looks very simple here I  

basically have my my weekly language learning plan  it's just a screenshot from my Google Calendar and  

as you can see right now it's like very basic very  simple I don't have a lot of things put down here  

just because I'm using it as an example right  maybe you don't have like lots of plans every  

single day so your schedule is pretty open and  you can plan your language learning on Google  

Calendar and then take a screenshot and voila it  becomes s very easy for you to track your progress  

and track all of your classes we also have a nice  quo here to motivate us with languages you're at  

home anywhere absolutely and I have a link to the  document with 625 words in thematic order like the  

most used words because I believe that it's very  important like at the very beginning to learn all  

of these words to put them into your an app in  any language and just make sure you know all of  

these most common words it's only 600 it's not  a lot but you know these are the words like bed  

I don't know cup all of these words are important  to know how to say and then we have three separate  

pages we have English for my English learning  we have Spanish for my Spanish learning and we  

have Chinese obviously for when I want to study  Chinese to be honest right now I'm very focused  

on my Spanish so I think I want to show you guys  this page because they all look the same or very  

similar obviously you can change them depending  on your language but I have this pretty background  

from Mexico City obviously the Mexican flag cuz  I live in Mexico I also copied my weekly language  

learning plan right here just a screenshot from  um my Google Calendar and then we have something  

super fun and super interesting I have my boy  view right here I love using this tracker when  

I feel like I don't have enough energy to study  Spanish and I just like create this to-do list  

you know let's say it's all here right have this  to-do list and then it's like a game I'm motivated  

to you know put it in progress and then put all of  this to complete because I want to like I want to  

complete all of my tasks and yeah that's what I do  it's it's super fun I I love this tracker then I  

have a little table with all the resources I Ed  to St study Spanish just so that I don't forget  

because I have lots of subscriptions I have like  lots of things everywhere and I just want to make  

sure that I'm constantly updating the stable maybe  um I found a new resource that I really like so  

just want to make sure it's all here inside my  notion template the best part about having a  

lot of resources to use for a person like me is  I never get bored you know every time I open my  

notion template and I'm like okay what do I want  to do today do I want to read some news in Spanish  

or do I want to listen to a podcast because  we all experience this sometimes when we don't  

have enough energy enough enough motivation like  for example we don't want to read anything today  

it's fine like we can do something else we don't  have to read the news today if we don't want to  

one more thing that I recently started doing to  not distract myself from language learning is I  

created another account on YouTube because I think  we all use YouTube to study foreign language but  

sometimes the problem is when you have the same  account for all the channels you're watching  

H it might get very distracting because I watch  a lot of videos in Russian in English they have  

nothing to do with language learning they have  nothing to do with Spanish and every time I open  

that YouTube account it's more like for you know  recreational purposes I want to take a break I  

want to have a good time and I just watch those  YouTube videos but when I need concentration you  

know when I need to watch something in Spanish  because I'm studying Spanish right now I just  

created another account on YouTube Every time I  click on veronic or in Spanish it helps me get  

into the right mood it helps me stay concentrated  because I'm going to be honest with you I'm just  

like you I get distracted all the time with social  media with other videos so for me it's important  

to have a separate YouTube channel for language  learning and finally the last thing that I have  

in my notion is my journal my journal in Spanish  I deleted everything for now because obviously I  

have a lot of personal information there in  Spanish but basically it's just a separate  

page for me to use when I feel like I want to  journal in Spanish and if you're interested in
