Cambridge Speaking Test B2 - Mock Test

Hi! Welcome to English Like a Native. I’m Anna.  Let’s do a Cambridge B2 First exam together.  

The Cambridge B2 First exam is designed for two  people to have a real conversation with each  

other with a speaking examiner. In the actual  exam, the examiner will use your name but in  

this video I’ll just say ‘A’ and ‘B’. So, get your  speaking partner and decide who is A and who is B.

First we’d like to know something about you.

In this part of the test I’m going to give  each of you two photographs. I’d like you  

to talk about the photographs  on your own for about a minute,  

and also to answer a question  about your partner’s photographs. 

A, it’s your turn first.  Here are your photographs.  

They show people communicating in different ways.

I’d like you to compare the photographs,  

and say why you think these people may  choose to communicate in these ways.

Now I’d like you to talk about something together  for about two minutes. I’d like you to imagine  

that a canteen wants to encourage people to  eat healthier food. Here are some ideas they’re  

thinking about and a question for you to discuss.  First, you have some time to look at the task.  

(Show task on screen) (Pause for 15 seconds)

Now, talk to each other about why these ideas  might encourage people to eat healthier food. 

Now you have about a minute to decide which is  the easiest idea for the canteen to implement.
