about that as well i have a habit and this is a habit that i've developed over the past

make 11 o'clock coffee time and this is something i've been doing for a long time so with because

so every time the clock in the kitchen on the stove turns to 11 o'clock like this there

it is look that is my favourite time of the day it also happens to be mr steve's favourite

time so 11 o'clock in the morning for us is always coffee time it is always the time when

we have our cup of coffee so what about you when do you normally have your morning break

do you have a morning break and what time do you normally have it do you have it like

me at 11 o'clock so normally at 11 o'clock i will go into the kitchen i will normally

make a cup of coffee not only for myself but also for mr steve as well you see because

i'm so selfless i am a selfless individual i will even go to the trouble of making a

cup of coffee for mr steve in his office upstairs so that that is it so what about you what

time do you normally have your drink

what time do you normally have your morning break bar ram says normally 10 o'clock in

the morning well maybe that's a little bit too early for me because normally at that

time i'm busy working here in the studio but 11 o'clock for me is my coffee break it is

my coffee time every time so when do you normally have your break in the morning because many

people do have to start work very early even if you are working from home you still have

to start work early in the morning it is true mr steve for example has to be in front of

his computer before nine o'clock in the morning you see he has to be there waiting to start

his day at work so yes it does happen yes so what time do you have your mid break before

lunchtime so not lunch time but before then do you normally have a break in the morning

maybe you have a little break at around about 10 o'clock or 11 o'clock so for me it is always

11 o'clock or as i like to call it coffee o'clock because when 11 o'clock arrives it

is time for my coffee and i always look forward to one of those especially if i've been working

hard in the studio all morning preparing this you see it takes a lot of work a lot of effort

the reason is you always take some fruit maybe some oranges some apples so on the way to

other fruit and then you will take them to the house that you are visiting it is true

why i'm here today we're going to look at two very simple words words that seem very

basic and there they are on the screen right now yes and no there they are can you see

them yes in green no in red so quite often we see yes as a positive word which is why

it is coloured green and quite often we will see no as a negative word and that is the

reason why it is coloured red i can't believe i just explained that but i did oh hello hello

to actually occur we often hear this word nowadays used when we are talking about certain

society causes or social causes so we might say affirmative action so that is positive

action action that will help other people so the word affirmative is actually used quite

often to mean something positive something good and also it can be used to express the

word yes here's another one well this is the opposite of course with every positive there

is always a negative sadly

something negative is something that goes against the positive so we have positive and

negative you see so the positive thing is the good thing it is the affirmative response

and then we have the opposite which is negative so quite often we will express a negative

response when we disagree with something something we don't like something we disagree with when

we give an answer that is negative we are saying the opposite thing so one person might

say yes but you will give a negative response you will say no

and that's it you see another positive one yes and no here we go oh now this is an interesting

word you assent to something if you assent it means you agree you are allowing something

you agree with what has been said you give your assent you see you are allowing something

to happen you might hear this used sometimes in law

or in politics sometimes when a thing has been agreed on you agree to something happening

you give your ascent the ascent is a form of agreement so you are allowing it so to

agree is to say yes i agree with you mr duncan i agree i give you my assent and then of course

we have well we have the opposite disagree if you disagree with something if you disagree

with something you go the opposite way the opposite to what that person has said i think

they should abolish capital punishment oh mr duncan very controversial but someone might

disagree you see so we can disagree strongly over maybe a sensitive issue something that

people are talking about that is controversial like at the moment in the united states there

is a lot of debate taking place over whether or not they should abolish capital punishment

the death penalty we don't have it here in the uk we don't have capital punishment we

don't have it we don't do anything like that anymore we just send people to prison for

a very very long time

does it change anything does it stop people from doing bad things

a little bit so if you disagree with something quite often you will take the opposite point

of view you disagree by the way this is interesting i've just i've just realized if something

disagrees with you it means that it makes you feel unwell especially when we're talking

about food so maybe a certain type of food will disagree with your stomach like mr steve

yesterday mr steve wasn't feeling very well even though he was very lively on the live

negative you disallow something so you don't let that thing go through you disagree with

it you do not allow it you disallow something so to disallow is to reject something you

do not agree with it you are saying no i'm sorry sometimes in football sometimes if a

footballer scores a goal but maybe something else happened on the field that means that

goal is not a real goal they disallow the goal so if you disallow something it means

you reject it or of course you you say that that thing is not real in the sense of a sporting

event you disallow something so i'm sorry we can't accept that goal because something

else happened that player was offside and please don't ask me to explain the offside

rule in football because i have no idea what it is but sometimes yes you you might disallow

a goal during a football match i think so we are looking at words connected to yes and

no you are giving something positive a positive answer or a negative one depending on the

situation

yes or no but it is a positive word and quite often we can show that we are allowing something

it you accept that thing especially when you are talking about a certain subject so maybe

interesting point yes yes i think i think i can accept that perhaps you are in a quiz

and someone asks you a question and you give an answer that is almost correct not quite
