English Addict - Sunday 6th JUNE 2021 - LIVE Stream - I have had my vaccination

so here we are oh we have finally made it  i'm sorry for being slightly late but i do  

have a very good excuse all of which will  be explained in a few moments time yes we  

are back together again i hope you're feeling  good today and yes we are back with another live  

english addict coming to you from the  birthplace of english which just happens to be

england

hi everybody this is mr duncan in england how are  you today are you okay i hope so are you happy  

i hope you're feeling happy today i'm not feeling  too bad even though well i've had a busy week  

doing all sorts of things some of them stressful  some of them enjoyable some of the things  

a little painful but it has been a very busy  week but i hope you are feeling happy today  

and yes we are together again with another  english addict live from the birthplace  

and yes this is where it all started the english  language became the thing we know in love  

today a thousand years ago it's incredible  really isn't it when you think about it  

it's almost as old as mr steve here we are then my  name is duncan i talk about the english language i  

like to chat about all sorts of things in fact  that is what we are going to be doing today  

we we're going to be talking about all sorts of  subjects one thing i want to talk about today is  

being a victim it's an interesting word and i  think it's something we've never talked about  

before ever in any of my lessons or on my live  streams so i thought it would be an interesting  

subject to talk about to chat about because of  course it is not only me here today it is also you  

as well on the live stream so it's very nice to  see you here again now we know what it's all about

well i almost do it's been a very strange week  i will be honest with you i didn't realize  

how busy and hectic the follow that  that the previous five days were  

first of all my brain isn't working very  well it's not at a hundred percent reasons  

that i will explain a little bit later  on you will find out all about that  

oh by the way we went away we actually went  away somewhere we actually got in the car and  

we drove to a lovely scenic place which we will  be taking a look at a little bit later on as well  

hello everybody we've made it to the end of  another weekend and also another week yes it is

sunday

sunday is here again and i am almost here  

to be honest with you i'm not  sure where i am at the moment

if you haven't already noticed i have had  my covet vaccination i had it on friday and  

let's just say it has left me feeling  a little groggy oh i like that word  

groggy if something makes you feel groggy  it makes you feel slightly drowsy or maybe  

slightly intoxicated with the effect of whatever  it was that you had so i had my vaccine on friday  

and i will be honest with you it has left me  feeling slightly weird not terrible but slightly  

strange i feel as if i have a cold even though  i don't have a cold it's very strange feeling  

i don't think in my life i've ever felt like this  before i've never had the feeling of actually  

having fever without actually having the fever  it's very strange but i had it on friday it was  

rather painless i even took a photograph of the  place where we were having our tests sorry we were  

having our vaccines not the test it was actually  the vaccine so there it is there i am i'm standing  

in the queue waiting to have my questions first of  all they will ask some questions about your health  

and other things and then you will go to another  area and they will give you your injection  

so that was a photograph i took on  friday whilst i was queuing for my  

vaccination and i have to be honest with you it  was very well organized i will be honest with you  

a very well organized situation and yes it was  greater even though i don't like needles i will  

be honest with you i'm not a big fan of having  needles stuck in my arm but it was all over  

instantly i didn't even feel the needle to be  honest so yes i had it i came home i felt okay  

i even did a little bit of filming outside in the  sunshine and then i came back into the house but  

as the day went on i felt a little  bit more drowsy a little bit more  

i would say under the weather but i didn't feel  ill if that makes sense so my head was spinning  

and i felt a little feverish but nothing  too serious and then the next day  

well the next day yes i was really getting some  sort of effect but nothing too bad i didn't go  

to bed i didn't have to lie down on the bed or  doing do anything dramatic so it was all right  

and here i am today i'm i'm about 90 okay and  10 groggy so that's the situation i find myself  

in now i'm not a hundred percent but i'm  feeling very pleased and i had a little sticker  

as well do you want to see my sticker they gave  me a little sticker because i was such a brave boy  

that's what they said they said to me you are  such a brave boy apparently in the united states  

because so few people are taking the vaccine  they are actually giving gifts to people  

prizes to those who actually go to  take their vaccine can you believe that  

and all i can say is i'm slightly  disappointed that all i got  

was this sticker i didn't get any  money or any prize no free holidays

but i did get this little sticker that i'm  feeling rather proud of because i was such a brave  

brave boy nice to see you all here today i  won't be talking about this too much don't  

worry even though it will affect everything today  because i am feeling slightly drowsy slightly  

woozy oh there's another good word woozy if  you feel woozy it feels as if maybe your head  

is spinning around you are feeling woozy oh i like  that word some interesting words coming up today  

we are talking about being a victim of something  there are many things that we can be a victim of  

we also have the sentence game coming up as well  we have mr steve oh also something extra today

yes you are intrigued i think we have the  mystery object we have a mystery object  

and this is something i saw in mr steve's  hand the other day he had it in his hand  

and i thought that would make a very good mystery  object so that's what we're doing today as well  

we are also going on a little trip because we did  take a trip somewhere last week for the first time  

in a very long time we actually drove somewhere  not only that but we also had something to eat

outside at another place surrounded by other  people it was a very strange experience i have  

to be honest with you and of course we have you as  well i suppose the big question is who was first  

on today's live chat that's it you can forget  to forget all about the other questions in life  

forget all about them the big question now is who  was first on today's live chat oh i see the king

i haven't had a shave i apologize i didn't  shave my face this morning you can see now why  

i'm feeling a little groggy you can see now why  everything is slightly disorganized today because  

i'm i'm still recovering from my covered  vaccination and by the way on friday it was my  

first one now everyone else at the vaccination  centre they were all having their second jab  

i was the only person there apparently who  was having my first one and the woman who  

who gave me the little interview before you  go to have your jab she said oh you finally  

decided to have it have you you've you finally  decided to have your vaccine oh and i said okay  

don't make me feel so embarrassed by it just  because i was waiting and i was being patient  

maybe also a little bit cautious but i've had it  and as far as i can tell it's had no effect on me  

at all so i apologize for my for my rather rough  appearance today because i haven't had a shave  

don't worry i'm not going to grow a beard  again for those who are worried don't worry  

there isn't a new beard coming what else happened  last week oh yes i went to see my mum pretty good  

very excited i was so excited to go and see my  mother after many many months in fact it was 14  

14 months that i haven't seen my mum she's in care  at the moment not very well but she is being very  

well looked after so i went along to see her on  thursday and it was great and we had a little chat  

and it was lovely and i felt great about  it afterwards wonderful moment of time  

seeing my mum again i was able to hug  her as well i gave her a lovely big hug  

and told her how much i love her and she said  the same thing back and it was magic nothing  

nothing can be better than that feeling  nothing thank you very much for your

i am in a very strange state of mind  today because i'm just getting over the  

very strange side effects of the  coveted vaccine i had my first jab

but pretty painless and to be honest with you  not too bad so i have to wait now until the end  

of july so the end of july is when i'm having  my second one and of course this month here  

in england a lot of people are getting excited  because it would appear that we might be going out  

of all of the restrictions all of the  coveted restrictions might be ending  

on the 21st of june however as you know there  are many different variants of that thing  

that is creeping around the world so we will see  what happens but a lot of people are getting their  

hopes built up if you build up your hopes it  means you really hope or you wish for something  

to happen you are really looking forward to  that thing occurring you build up your hopes

the reason is you have to have a very fast  finger it's true we have the olympic games  

coming up in i think it's a month from  now and i think that finger clicking  

clicking on your mouse should actually be one  of the competitions in the olympics i think so

i had to go into the garden and help mr steve  do some building work even though i was still  

feeling a little groggy from my from my vaccine  here we go then here's today's mystery object

i don't know what that was about and yes behind me  you might notice behind me that is the view today  

it is slightly misty very damp very dull  and as i said earlier very cloudy as well  

we are talking about being a victim of some things  another thing i want to mention today as well  

something called virtue washing virtue washing  when we talk about a person with virtue it means  

they are kind considerate honest they always like  to do things for others virtue you have virtue  

however there are moments or times when that  thing can be exploited you might be trying to  

make yourself appear virtuous you want to appear  as if you have virtue so this is a thing that  

happens sometimes with very large companies big  organizations such as banks maybe a certain type  

of company that does something that pollutes  the planet they might decide to do something  

to make themselves appear better or more  virtuous so it is a thing that is often mentioned  

here in the uk and quite possibly where you are as  well where someone will try their best to appear  

friendly or environmentally conscious  in some way or maybe socially conscious  

and so they will do something to try  and make themselves appear to be that  

way we'll be talking about that a little  bit later on i'm pretty sure mr steve  

will have something to say about that here we go  then a little break and then mr steve is coming up

my name is mr duncan and i'm  ever so pleased to meet you  

we are all here again to take a peek into that  wonderful world of english so let us all join  

hands and say the magic words for goodness sake  mr duncan we haven't got all day get on with it

so  

can you see what sort of  weather we're having here today

well there is poor visibility for a  start it isn't a clear day by any means  

it is a foggy day here in england we  can use foggy as an idiom to describe  

the inability to remember something we can  say i haven't the foggiest idea which means  

you do not remember or you cannot recall a certain  event or a piece of information today's fog has  

been caused by warm and cold air colliding with  each other this fog is made up of tiny particles  

of moisture you often see fog forming in the  early morning or evening or as the temperature  

changes the subjective weather is a fascinating  one and for the typical english person such  

as myself it is a subject that is often  discussed in general day-to-day conversation

the two words shown here may look similar  but they are in fact very different the words  

perspective and perspective are often confused  that is to say one is used instead of the other  

first of all the word perspective  defines the way in which things are seen  

how an object appears depending on its size shape  and relative distance from other things around it  

in drawing and painting perspective is used to  give the illusion of depth and distance we can  

also use this word to express a person's view  of the world as their point of view a person's  

perspective of the world the views and opinions  held by us all come from our own perspective

then there is the word prospective which means  something that is expected or is expecting to be  

done in the future something that is likely  to happen at a later date is perspective  

i have a prospective client coming to my office  tomorrow so now there is no need to get these  

words confused ever again i have given you a clear  perspective of what the differences are i have  

done this for you now and for all the prospective  online students who will join me in the future

this is a saucepan full of boiling  water the hot water is producing steam  

steam is produced when water vaporizes normally  water vapour cannot be seen but it is possible to  

show it when extreme temperatures are used  for example when hot vapor meets cool air  

this is one of the ways in which clouds are  formed the process is called evaporation  

the word steam can be used in other ways  for example a person can let off steam  

this expression means that a  person will release their tension  

and pent up energy by doing something the action  is normally a physical one such as going for a run

having a dance or in extreme cases

screaming out loud it would be fair to say  that we all need to let off steam at some point

it's time to take a look at another part  of english grammar continuing the theme of  

punctuation that we started in the last full  english today we will take a look at the dreaded  

apostrophe this particular punctuation mark is  a controversial one as its use has been widely  

disputed over the years even now there seems  to be some confusion over how it should be used

in general english the apostrophe serves  two purposes to show the possessive quality  

of something and to show that a word has been  shortened or a sentence has been made shorter  

in the possessive sense the apostrophe shows  that one thing belongs to another for example  

duncan's pen jill's pencil saint paul's  cathedral the apostrophe can come at the end  

of the possessive word for example the teacher's  college is over there a commonly confused use  

of the apostrophe comes with the word it's the  apostrophe here shows the contraction of it is  

it's my birthday today when the apostrophe is not  used then the possessive tense is being expressed  

a mouse has no fur on its tail another common  mistake made with the apostrophe is to use it  

to show the plural of ordinary words this  is incorrect once again the apostrophe  

is only used when you wish to show a possessive  clause or the contraction of a word or sentence

it is the one and only it is him it is mr steve  everyone hello everyone lovely to be here again  

lovely to be with you mr duncan oh even though  we've only been apart for approximately an hour  

since you started your life's dream you  should say it's lovely to be back with you  

that's true but i'd like to give the  illusion that we just come together  

in these few minutes this hour on the live stream  but of course we don't we're together all the  

time and since locked down even more yes we've  had a busy week to say that the last week it's  

been busy is an understatement because we've we've  been doing so many things over the past few days  

first of all we've been busy in the  garden doing things and also we went away  

as well we'll be looking at that in a moment the  first time that we've been away for a long time  

because of all of the things that you know about  and i know about also i went to see my mum mr  

steve took me and mr steve was with me we went to  see my mum didn't we we did we did i've had a week  

off um a few days holiday and uh yes we've had a  a a packed week yes packed that means you've done  

a lot of things yes during that period of time  we certainly managed to pack a lot and i've got  

to say i'm aching all over today mr duncan why uh  well from when you beat beat me up last night no  

that's not true well because of what we were  doing in the garden but i'm sure that you will  

i'm sure you've got lots of footage haven't you mr  duncan i did film something i don't know where to  

start to be honest i really don't know where to  start because the the past few days have been so  

so crazy and of course the thing i didn't mention  is i've been for my vaccine i went for my first  

covid vaccine i think uh you'd had you mentioned  it earlier yes ah right yes well um you weren't as  

bad as i was after my first one but you were a  bit groggy yesterday yeah it's feverish that's  

it yes i it's very strange i felt as if i i  had a cold but without having the cold and  

i've never felt like that before in my life but  today i feel okay but just a little disorientated  

that's all i'm going to say although that might  not be unusual to be honest i think that might be  

my normal state welcome to my world yes i i even i  didn't have a shave because i was so worried that  

i might sort of cut my nose off or slice through  one of my ears like van gogh you do look a bit  

scruffy today scruffy okay steve a scruffy  appearance is somebody who looks a bit messy  

yeah it's all right hasn't uh shaved for example  but uh oh i see i've just noticed oh okay  

are you showing off mr duncan just just you and  a and about a billion other people well that's  

okay yeah but there are lots of people who haven't  had their covered vaccine and some people have and  

some people haven't in the united states they're  giving prizes i know i know i i you know we didn't  

get prizes here no because we're very compliant  in the uk well we basically do what we're told  

i wouldn't say that well generally we do  there was a compliance yes but there was  

a hundred thousand people marching through  london last week i mean yeah i'm talking  

generally generally okay we're not known for  uh you know sort of overreacting to things and  

we're compliant so if somebody tells us to do  something you're saying that the british don't  

overreact well generally we don't generally i'm  talking generalizations mr can i just say that  

when we're told to go and get a covid jab most of  us do you know 60 million people have done so far  

in other countries they're sort of a bit more  reticent reticent there's a good word mr duncan  

explain what that word means well you explain it  you you if you're going to use words you've got  

to know what you're the english teacher  yes but if you're reticent it means you  

you don't want it you know you're you've got  reservations about wanting to do something yes  

yes you are reluctant to reluctant is  the is the uh reticent that's the synonym  

yes so i did know i did know the word but mr  steve sometimes he likes to come up with these  

big words so i always like to test him just  to make sure he knows well i mean according  

to information i've read so this isn't me you  know obviously i'm not qualifying this as fact  

uh in the united states they reckon that anything  up to a third of people won't have the jab because  

they just don't want it for whatever reason well  they think god has told them not to have it well  

uh whereas in the uk i think probably we probably  will get up to 80 of people having it which  

would be quite good um but lots of people  have been asking which vaccine you had  

ah now that's interesting because when i got there  i i was i was told that the it's a bit like going  

to a restaurant they they said oh today's vaccine  is i was expecting them to offer amendments yes  

oh yes yes i think i will have the um let's  see do you have any fines sir no i'm sorry we  

don't have pfizer today we only have estrovenica  astrazeneca so i did have the astrazeneca because  

that was the only one on the menu and to be honest  i i really didn't want to go through that again  

we don't have the sputnik vaccine here in  the uk and i'd have loved to have that one  

it's just the name is so attractive i  wonder what you're going to say though  

had said to me do you want pfizer astrazeneca  or sputnik i'd have said well give me the  

sputnik vaccine it just sounds like it's really  going somewhere i want some sputnik inside me  

yes so uh of course that's the russian  vaccine isn't it um and uh yes i would  

have gone for that one just through  the name alone yes the first uh space  

spacecraft orbited the earth was it the sputnik  again you're telling me you you you give me facts  

as if you're asking a question but you should  all you should always if you are saying something  

factual you should sound certain it was it  was the first object that that sent a signal  

yes that's right exactly a little signal  how long did it take you to get that

that's that's what it sounded like with the eggs

at russia today don't we yes well we do you know  we know we get russia today here in the uk i've  

heard of it a news uh channel news channel  along with uh you know of course there are  

other news channels bbc sky al jazeera which we  also like but russia today is very interesting  

and there's a programme what an ex-politician in  the uk uh the name of his program on russia today  

sputnik isn't it well it's actually not it's  it isn't sputnik is actually a news agency and  

russia today show that program did you know that  i didn't know that yeah and and the neighbourhood  

the name of the politician is george galloway  that's right and i don't know if he is still  

a politician i suppose he is well the po  ex politician is he's more famous now for  

pretending to be a cat on big brother poor colin  poor colin colin we've got to feel sad for colin  

today he's feeling sad today sent a message  earlier on he's broken up with his girlfriend  

why are you watching us well watching  us isn't going to help your sadness  

to be cheered up and his girlfriend broken up  with his british girlfriend so commiserations  

i hope that you soon get over this breakup  and find somebody new okay uh of whatever  

um country uh it doesn't have to be a british  girlfriend again maybe you are you put off  

by having uh british girlfriends now after being  broken up with one well wait uh you're missing the  

biggest question is where are you where are you  colin well i think colin colin's name looked to me  

like uh maybe i don't know of course you could be  living in this country look yeah um well how does  

a person's name well it looks sort of spanish to  me okay it looks spanish there's a surname dude  

i might be wrong but it you know yeah no steve  you are wrong well it wasn't let's just say a  

name that i would recognize okay so where are you  colin so you say that your girlfriend was british  

because you've now broken up did she break up with  you did she break it off or did you break it off  

that sounds very painful ah right and nitram  says that i'm i'm not pronouncing sputnik  

correctly it should be sputnik sputnik thank  you as in butcher thank you very much sputnik

oh can you pronounce my name  correctly duncan it's a tricky name

although i've probably pronounced it right or  wrong thank you i've had lots of comments about  

my plum coloured top plum this is like a plum  colour the only problem is it's a bit too big  

it's too big for the length it comes right  down to your knees yeah but the thing is  

i used to have a small in t-shirts  but i'm having to go to a medium  

because of all the muscles that i've developed  through all this heavy lifting and garden work  

you know i'll be i'll be rivalling sergio not  sergio i'll be rivalling uh oh come on tell me  

probably sergio i find it i find it really  upsetting that steve can't remember i always  

forget people's names steve can't remember any  of our viewers names pedro i'll be rivalling  

pedro soon in the muscle status i'm having to  get bigger and bigger t-shirts to contain this  

you know i'll be splitting these arms in my  t-shirts sorry didn't you say the other day  

that that it was healthy to hide your fat isn't  fat you see you said you don't want to wear  

tight t-shirts anymore because you they can  people can see your belly well that's that's  

all just that's the six pack you see uh and it's  just a bit uncomfortable i think it's a 12 pack  

i'm the same weight as i was when i was 18. can  you believe that yes was that was that was that  

two eighteen-year-olds getting on the scale  tomek said something funny apparently oh okay  

apparently yes somebody's saying well done looks  like you heard the signal yourself says sergio  

yes we did oh yes look at all those different  vaccines right ah yes so beatrice had the sputnik  

vaccine oh okay ah interesting see  now you're over pronouncing the u s

yes well yes what about the mustang vaccine yeah  exactly yes well nothing could ever inoculate me  

against uh a forward mustang in fact if steve  has the forward mustang fever that's true in  

fact before we came on i was actually watching  a video really about a forward mustang yes  

that's certainly different from the videos you  normally want by the way if anyone is thinking  

of buying me a ford mustang make sure it's in the  new antimatter blue it's got the nice chrome trim  

around the the the window because they don't all  have that the v8 of course um and the magneride  

basically the top spec one obviously okay because  someone somebody could think they want to buy me  

a ford mustang but they might get the wrong spec  and i'd have to sell it and then buy another one  

because i'm very fussy about the spec yes spec  being short for specification but we don't know  

we don't know anybody incredibly wealthy who might  be buying mr steve his ford mustang so maybe we  

just forget about that for a while steve yes it's  coming up to three o'clock but i thought we would  

have a look first of all it's something we were  doing in the garden now the same day exactly the  

same day that i went to have my vaccine mr  steve got me to do some work in the garden  

but the same day that we went to see my  mother we picked up some things didn't we  

oh yeah in the back of the car so so here  are some of the things this is a clue  

to what we've been doing now look at so there are  some solid blocks of concrete and they were huge  

and we had to go to this small depot to pick them  up but they weighed well i think they must have  

been half a ton each and we had to carry them to  the car and steve put them all in the back of his  

car but the poor guy that was at this place where  we picked them up from he he couldn't believe that  

we were putting them into the back of mr steve's  car because they were they were not only huge  

they were also very heavy as well so that's a  little clue they're six they're six foot long  

um and about when i say six foot i mean about  180. so there is one of them about 180 millimeters  

long okay oh look you're giving it all the way  there well yes i was i was i have something else  

to say you see oh right go on before you start  giving all the dimensions so there it is so there  

they are we we put up our lovely fence panels  and we did it ourselves with with heavy things  

when i say we it was mostly me no i helped you  with the hardest part well did you did you dig the  

holes that the concrete posts needed to go in did  you dig the channels that the gravel boards those  

things at the bottom of the way those concrete  things which look like they've got a rock face  

are called gravel boards because they sit on the  dirt or the gravel okay then so so so there it is  

so the most important thing to take away from  this is we did some very hard manual labour but  

i did most of it but mr steve did most of it yes  even though i did the hardest parts you didn't you  

helped me lift up because you cannot lift those  concrete posts all those gravel boards by yourself  

interestingly enough i was slightly disappointed  that the fence panels yeah with different colours  

yes don't worry about that i'll have to paint  them because they don't match well hopefully in  

five years time they will be covered with trees  well that's it can you see that tree stump there  

on the right yes see that's why we've had to put  fence panels up there because there were two trees  

in front of those and they died off i had to have  them cut down yes so we had a gap looking through  

into the neighbour's garden so therefore we've put  up some fences for our privacy does anyone care i  

wonder uh probably not but anyway i'm aching  all over mr duncan because of that so that's  

the reason why mr steve was was aching today and  also why i making because of my my coronavirus jab  

we are going to take a little trip in a moment  because today we are not having flags of the world  

aren't we no flags of the world today we're  doing something else we're going on a little trip  

to say hello from a place that we visited  during the week one of our most favourite places  

also a little request we don't normally  do this do we steve we don't normally put  

personal requests out but i have a photograph  of a certain part of mr steve's body  

so if there are any doctors watching today yes  any doctors out there maybe you could diagnose  

mr steve's little problem yes that he's  having with his body i know yeah yeah so  

don't say anything else don't say anything  else we're gonna show it in a few moments  

but it might also be connected somehow to to  today's mystery object as well so that coming  

up a little bit later on as i said instead of  flags of the world we're going to do something a  

little different we're going to look at a place  that we visited last week and then after this

oh hello there how is your sunday going  are you enjoying your sunday live stream  

i really hope so yes we have made it here we  are now at one of our most favourite places  

in the whole of the uk we are at lake vernwe which  is in wales of course it's not just me behind me  

you can see there is someone else lurking around  there is mr steve looking very elegant today  

we are both going with our striped  shirts so you can see i'm wearing my  

striped t-shirt and also mr steve is wearing  his as well he's trying to avoid me i think  

you are looking very stylish today steve oh  thank you mr duncan yes just something i threw on  

you know it looks like it actually uh regular  viewers will recognize that i often wear this top  

uh on the live stream so you know nothing new  there we've just had a lovely lunch mr duncan  

at the uh hotel restaurant yes we're not staying  there uh although there are guests at the moment  

but we did have a very interesting meal mr steve  you had curry well i didn't want curry uh i wanted  

fish and chips but they'd run out of fish and  chips i was bitterly disappointed i think the fish  

and chips were very popular today because lots  of people have taken the opportunity to come here  

because it is a glorious day look at that  and you can see behind me there is the lovely  

dam the reservoir and the the dam actually is  over over there but unfortunately you can't see it  

at the moment so we are having a lovely day by the  way i had something that i've never tried before  

i actually tried plant burger one of these new  types of burger that has sawyer it's made from  

sawyer and it was rather nice i have to  be honest with you i might from now on  

if i have a burger instead of having meat i  might actually have a plant burger instead oh  

fancy pants ooh anyway we will return you back to  the live stream you didn't ask what i had by the  

way you had people might be interested you had  curry i had chickpea curry yes um which is well  

i was surprised there were three different  types of curry available in this place which  

i find very surprising well i'm surprised because  it's a it's a strange thing to have on the menu  

it is on such a hot day you don't actually expect  you're trying to push me out to mr duncan i'm not  

i'm not pushing you out i would never push  you out steve so yes it would appear that the  

place was very busy lots of people coming out  today because it is a glorious day also it is  

a new month as well a very busy month for mr steve  as he slowly returns back to normal whatever that  

is what do you mean by normal do you mean my  sort of personality or well i work practices  

i'm talking about your work practices nothing else  about you mr steve is normal let's face it really  

and of course i will be busy this month during  june because i have lots of live streams and lots

obviously been looking at photographs again of uh  certain topless uh physique well i would imagine  

that there must be a lot of ladies and also maybe  some men quite excited by pedro's ripped physique  

valeria i think was looking forward to flags  of the world as well so i mean you know maybe  

i'm wrong and i keep criticizing flags  of the world every week well i know that

never mind right lewis has described himself as  the doyenne or dwight doyen of the live stream yes  

you might be a person who is always in that place  or the centre of attention or maybe a person who  

is always obvious they are like imagine an opera  singer being centre stage and all of the focus  

is is on her she is that's a very good word  d-o-y-e-n the doy n d o y e n or doyenne doyenne  

always present always there a fixture  people know you everybody knows you  

uh which we're very grateful for as are a lot  of other people as well and louis points out  

he's the only person on the live stream to have  had the coronavirus the modern one oh okay uh i  

don't i think we have that in the uk now it's been  approved yeah for use just recently but i don't  

know anyone that's had it no so um interesting  well i decided to take the astrazeneca and it had  

no real side effects i'm okay i well i'm i'm about  the same as normal slightly absent-minded sleepy  

sometimes i forget what i'm doing pedro is going  oh uh he would have gone anywhere because he  

normally does go at this time so i mean you know  do tune in next week because flags of the world

this is the problem with steve you would never be  very good on youtube because you've got to always  

hold something back this is the one thing you  know i'm not well you just literally said what

poop poop i'm not going to say okay then actually  it's quite funny when i went to have my injection  

the other day that the guy who was putting the  needle into my arm asked which arm would you like  

it here and i said surprise me and that made them  laugh they did it they really did laugh out loud  

that was so funny they said you  should be on youtube with your own  

internet show what's the joke you would like to  make pedro quickly because we've got to move on  

to mr steve's very strange thing people are  making comments about the sun today as well  

the sun okay yes because palmyra has been off  has been off to the beach this week and says  

that she's suffering from sun exposure oh she said  earlier so maybe a bit of sun stroke heat stroke  

like maybe you know i got a bit of a sun sunburn  on my on my neck there you did that is correct  

but then you always do but i always tell you  mr duncan put your collar up put some factor  

sun cream on but no no do  you take any notice of me no  

you know waste of breath waste of breath anyway  we're going to have a look at a part of mr steve's  

body in a moment intelligent can i just finish  what i was saying about the sun so okay it's been  

told by her doctor do it uh that she needs to walk  in the sun for 30 minutes every day to get vitamin  

d production going in her body right and of course  a lot of us have been stuck inside and therefore  

not getting enough vitamin d which you get when  your skin is exposed to the sun i of course take  

supplements vitamin d supplements which you can  do and you know i just thought it was interesting  

i don't know why you're bored move on people have  been making comments about the mystery object yes  

the mystery object tomek says i think it was  tomek or sergio it was one of them because  

they're both troublemakers they they said it can  we have a look at mr steve's sex toy again yes yes  

the thing is there's no there's  no idea of scale on that is that  

i mean that could be very small or very large  it could be eight inches long what would you  

rather it be steve would you rather it be large  or would you rather it be small well you know  

it depends what it is really yes but that i mean  let's give an eye let's give a clue as to the size

friend they've got this problem and i personally  think it's herpes that'd be ridiculous it's either  

herpes or uh what's that other thing you used  to get years ago that we don't get any more  

i can't remember what it's called well i went out  there i think that's a scarlet fever well i don't  

think i've got a scarlet fever anyway let's show  it first this person who we won't say who it is  

uh has got the skin condition that has suddenly  erupted yes so please can you have a look at  

this any doctors watching can you please give  us your your expert opinion and then mr steve  

won't have to phone the doctor and disturb  them because they have other things to do  

here it is so there it is there's that that's mr  sting i won't tell you where it is what lovely  

beautiful smooth skin well whoever that  person is except for the giant red spots  

see i went out and that this this person  let that let's let's call them mr steve  

okay uh went out into the garden yeah and uh was  doing some weeding yeah and then within hours  

about 25 of these all appeared over this  person's uh torso torso there's a good word  

your torso that's a sort of that's your middle  area isn't it yeah t-o-r-s-o your torso torso  

which is just sort of back middle there's a bit  that you normally got covered up with clothes  

it's from your shoulders to your uh just just  above your stomach yes i mean if you were to  

use that in a sentence your upper body uh  you would say pedro has a fantastic torso  

okay uh it would show you how to use that word  in a sentence it looks like i've got a red nose

well this is actually around my i would say  torso i'm going to say that this isn't helping  

we wanted to we wanted a diagnosis we want an  instant diagnosis we want a proper diagnosis they  

are itchy they have appeared over several days  and they are all over mr steve well i i would  

say i've counted about 26 26 on this person now  uh yes so i was out in the garden so i i assumed  

that i'd a flea had jumped on me and was biting  me uh but uh so i went to all sorts of extremes  

kept changing my clothes sticking all my clothes  in the deep freeze because that's what you're  

supposed to do to get rid of fleas they don't like  minus 18. why why would you think that it's fleas  

well because they started around my  ankles okay um and when you get flea bites  

from because they drop off animals don't they  onto the ground and then when you walk past they  

jump onto you and they normally start around your  ankles do they ambush you they do apparently fleas  

will uh stay on the ground inactive for months  and then if a warm creature comes by they sense  

the heat they spring into life and leap onto you  and then suck the blood out of you and that's what  

i assumed it was because it started around my  ankles but they have sent since spread all over  

uh so yeah there seems to be a little hole in  one like there is a bite mark can you see the  

one on the left seems to have a sort of a hole  i think that's where you've been scratching it  

it could well be and they have been very itchy yes  that's what they they always say you should never  

scratch spots sergio says if i were a doctor  i would say these were red spots on the skin  

well done well done that's very good flea bites  yes sandra that's what i thought that's what  

seven years at medical college will get you  measles no i it's definitely not measles um

i thought they could be something called hives  yes well well if you're if you're doing something  

that's that that causes you to sweat you can  sometimes come out with in hives and of course  

you said that you were very close to some plants  i was yeah and your skin was coming into contact  

with lots of different plants and and other things  so maybe it's because of that but but what we are  

thinking it might be fleas which is great when you  think about it that we are now publicly announcing  

to the world that mr steve might have fleas i mean  your mum might have no i haven't your mum might be  

watching i haven't got i definitely haven't you're  your mother will not be able to go to church  

ever again well you can do you can pick these up  because well we've seen a rabbit in the garden and  

we get cats and of course cats are full of what  you think the rabbit might have been biting you  

no but they they as they walk along the fleas  jump off and then stay in the ground yes and  

then if you go on that ground and stand there i  was wearing shorts so my ankles were bare wow uh  

i mean it could be an allergic reaction what is  a brittle a brittle says nisar beetle oh a beetle  

could be a beetle yes but we've seen no sign  of a flea because you normally do see them  

yes well they're very tiny fortunately imagine if  a flea was was is as big as your is your is your  

fingernail imagine if fleas were really large  that would be really scary these huge things  

jumping towards you lyme disease says chris uh  christian yeah we're getting could be it's getting  

serious now are we where where are we going to  stop i mean it started off with with just a simple  

rash vitas wants flags of the world as well people  are protesting because they haven't had flowers  

that's your fault uh steve says steve said i'm  sorry i feel as if i have to clear this up what it  

looks as if i'm doing this but in fact last week  you said we do do we have to keep having flags of  

the world every week i've been saying it for weeks  and so this week i've not had it and people are

steve's body to drop still so yes it might be that  yes it but but where is this is which i suppose  

also we could get you to guess what part of the  body it is so where is this on mr steve's body can  

you guess i think i've already said i'll give you  a clue it's not his willy and it's not his bottom

victim of something well i suppose you have been  a victim of tiny microscopic insects biting into

i have in the past i've been a victim steve a  victim of violence really yes i was once attacked  

attacked when you were in china yes and also  many years ago as well when i was much younger

day and he hit me hit me in the face and he  left a scar on my face i still have it here  

down here i have a small scar you can't see it  now steve but there is a small scar from from he  

hit me my glasses cut into my face and it left a  little scar what a horrible person can you imagine

there have been occasions when i've  been uh almost pushed to the limits yes  

i have caught i have caught steve behind  me sometimes with a knife in his hand  

and it's being raised over his head but  he's just pretending to chase a fly around

those spots are shall we reveal it it's actually  on it's on the side on my side yes it's just just  

on your well it's near your abdomen yes so so not  very far away it's it's about four inches to the  

left of mr steve's belly button i think this  is all really fascinating stuff today i think  

we are breaking the boundaries of what is  is happening in the world of the internet

by words not physically but i see i think that's  a stupid i never agreed with that oh with that

but no words won't physically hurt you but  mentally they can leave scars and and resentment  

and bitterness and anger that can last forever for  years you know somebody says something against you  

and and you never forgive them and it just eats  away inside you and you get angry and angry and  

eventually you just have to break out and just do  something i don't i don't forgive and forget you  

explain that things inside you explain that very  well they're deep inside and then it comes out  

okay i think i think we can now explain what  those spots are i think they are anger stress  

anger spots but it's true it is true  when people say nasty things to you  

it can actually have quite a significant effect  on you you know certain people on the livestream  

have said nasty things about them a few people  have said that your spots are herpes really  

yeah well i mean it could be uh i mean the other  the other thing i thought it might be but it's  

a bit too quick for that is something called  shingles which is a nasty disease due to a virus  

and you normally get that across  your torso i'm going with herpes

um so well it's

that would be impossible that would be impossible  uh but yes i i it's too quick for herpes  

and i mean um shingles

and mr c became angry as the pimples  have exploded yes they've all exploded  

you're right there'll be a few more later i  love it when steve gets angry because he has  

this little blood vessel on the side of his head  and it swells up like the inner tube from a tire  

when he gets when he gets angry it swells up  and really sticks out the side of his head  

it looks like it's about to explode max poe  are you a doctor max po uh seems like herpes  

yeah because of the presence of the central  pirulent spot yeah that's it well there you go  

this might be the most embarrassing thing  that's ever happened on youtube i need to  

contact a doctor yeah this is like this is like  that program that we have in the uk or maybe a  

priest what's that program that we have in the  uk where people go and you know what millions  

are watching and they go to this doctor and they  show all these things that are wrong with them  

horrible misshapen organs yes and organs what are  they looking inside them well when you say organs  

do you mean that they're they're they're  barists yes and they're willies people go  

on the television in this country yeah we talked  about and they say well i've got this we've done  

this yeah but anyway that's what i'm saying well  baby people have you have you ever been a victim  

i'm really regretting showing your spots now  have you ever been a victim yes you can be  

called names in the street that's happened to me  many times lots of abusive words have come my way  

but you know what families can be  like they can be very cruel sometimes  

all the time and yes nitrams makes a good point  words can hurt you mentally cause stress words  

hurt you mentally which causes stress which  then causes physical harm because yes and  

and you know and a lot of a lot of illnesses of  course are caused by stress which nitram points  

out yes or at least partly caused by stress well  the thing is it's how you deal with it it's a bit  

like people that come on youtube and they make  videos and then they get lots of people writing  

horrible comments and and then the person who  is receiving those bad comments is surprised  

that anonymous people will be doing that but of  course that is the nature of this this thing you  

are watching now i used to i used to receive  a lot of abuse on youtube not so much now  

but many years ago i did but not anymore but you  have to be able to take that you see so it doesn't  

bother me at all you can call me anything you  want and to be honest i don't care atomic says  

that they've been attacked physically attacked  a couple of times wow once i was punched in the  

face for no reason for no reason it's a horrible  feeling have you ever been punched in the face  

it's a horrible it's a horrible feeling  i tell you steve but i can't believe  

that tomek was punched in the face for no reason  someone said knowing tomek as we do okay steve  

you made it i expect he made a sarcastic  comment to somebody they punched him in the face  

so you're saying that it was deserved probably  i would say it was deserved yes i didn't another  

town another time a man jumped atomic with  a knife both cases ended well for me so  

you got the upper hand and were able  to punch back yeah well and yeah  

maybe he was he was packing maybe he was packing  something you know you don't do that in the united  

states unless you know what you're doing but  nobody i know but nobody picks a fight with uh

my mind's gone blank with who i can see  but i can't picture it i these spots mr

i can't believe that i'm the most coherent person  here and and i feel like my head is being sort of

been the victim of something so a victim of crime  of course someone almost stole my motorbike once  

but i managed to catch the thief before they made  off with the motorbike pedro no one would pick a  

fight with pedro okay once they saw that hunky  body coming towards them how do you manage to  

forget the name in the same live stream i i don't  know why that happened i think it's because i  

i get sort of nervous when i think of petrol i  think i'm gonna i just forget i think i'm gonna  

get a bet i think i might put you in a bed and  i think it might put you in a bed next to my mum  

oh have i been physically at school i was yes  yes definitely i got into fights at school yeah  

and that was just the teachers yes but not really  he was he was being kicked and punched in the in  

the playground by the teachers even they couldn't  stand him all right my friend got punched in the  

face while two of us were sitting on a bench on  a metro station for no reason a man a random man  

just came up to him thumped him right in the nose  says intelligent of course one of the main reasons  

why people are violent is is alcohol when people  drink and maybe they get into fights so that is  

something you common you commonly see on a friday  night in any english city you will see people  

normally coming out of the nightclubs or  the pubs and they they quite often there  

will be a fight a fight will break out definitely  sentence game sentence game says vitas okay then  

so have you ever been a victim the receiver of  violence the receiver of abuse maybe an accident  

as well so you can be the victim of circumstances  as well so you can be the victim of an accident  

the victim of a crime maybe something that  leaves you injured so not just being hit maybe  

shot maybe you were injured in a bomb explosion  so there are many ways of being a victim quite  

often it is a passive action so we always  say that the victim is the passive action  

and the person that is doing the thing is the  perpetrator oh i like that word so the thing  

that causes the problem and the person who is  on the receiving end is the victim richard makes  

an interesting point many people are victims  of their own mentality oh now that is a very  

good point it can happen yes that you are your  patterns of thinking and patterns of behaviour  

which uh can get you into trouble and can hold  you back in life yes if you were for example

just to to be very simplistic  if you were a very negative  

sort of thinking person you may might not  achieve very much in life and therefore um

become unhappy because you you just ne just  a simple example because you're negative all  

the time but it is that is very important your  patterns of thinking can often hold you back  

in life it's true i don't know much about that  i'm sure intelligent knows a lot more about that  

than i would being an expert in psychology yes i  wouldn't say that you're an expert in psychology  

no not me no uh mystery object quickly mr duncan  before we go on to the yes the mystery object  

so so believe it or not the mystery object is  actually connected to to this you see and this is  

something that can cause a lot of dare i say pain  or itchiness so today's mystery object is actually  

should we show it first yes i'm going to don't  worry today's mystery object is something that is  

very useful if you have maybe a little bit of pain  in your skin or maybe something that is itching

why does it look blue on there because it's  green green because it's not registering on

so what it's supposed to do is supposed to  actually take away the pain or the itching  

of maybe a spot so for example a mosquito  bite or maybe you have some itchy herpes

well yes i i bought this years ago because it  said that if you were if you got an insect bite  

yeah obviously if you get an insect bite you can  put cream on it uh antihistamine cream or you can  

this is a pizzo electric crystal  in here okay and when you compress

this crystal uh it produces a high voltage  electric shock yes very very small so there we  

go so the idea is it does actually give you a bit  of a should i demonstrate it should i demonstrate  

it on you no i'd rather you didn't you you can  i'll demonstrate it on there no i do do it myself  

i don't like people giving me electric shocks so  you're supposed to put that on your spot you can't  

see let's put that on your spot and you see you  get you can feed the electric shock going through  

the skin if i was to do this on your equipment  it might it might end the live stream please  

don't put it anywhere 5000 volts please don't  put it anywhere near my equipment you can also  

use this to light your gas stove because that's  those those little it's the same thing that um  

pizza uh electric um lighter for a gas oven or a  gas stove it's the same thing it's the ignition  

a small version well you know it works exactly  the same way as a spark plug as well well very  

similar but it's similar yeah pizza there's a  crystal in there when you compress the crystals

i find quite quite fascinating it's not painful  when you when you're scratching it's relief

to get rid of pain because normally you try  and find something that will take it away  

but in fact you're doing something that is but  it's relief yeah it's relief yes i'm not i'm not

i'm not actually saying it isn't relief what i'm  saying is it's in interesting you inflict another  

thing on your skin it's a bit like getting acid on  your skin and someone else puts some more acid on  

to get rid of that acid so that's what i'm saying  but an itch isn't painful it's just irritating yes

victimization you are choosing one person or  one group of people and you are deciding to

get the first word right yes because it'd be  very surprising it literally is on the screen  

it's on the screen and we're and it's six  letters yes uh so yes beginning with v

yes that is easy but what is the final word  a lot of people are right oh miura here we go

or assuming that's spelt correctly yes there  is there is a word we definitely use if we are  

on the receiving end if you are the  receiving party of some sort of assault

harmful something that can cause damage so a toxic  person is a person that can do damage to you or  

your life and they can be toxic in many ways maybe  their actions maybe the things they say or do

anywhere so yes a confidence trickster we also say  sometimes a con man although nowadays of course  

you can have a con woman so a confidence trickster  can be a man or a woman so swindled means somebody  

steals your money they trick you the life savings  are the the money that you've built up through  

saving uh you've got a that could be a  mortgage or just a nice big savings pot  

and a person gives confidence in what  they're saying to you you believe their story  

uh but they're tricking you into handing over  your money it could be for a business venture  

it could be that as you say to buy something  that they're going to invest money for you or  

quite often now these scams people will phone you  up and say that uh somebody's got hold of your um  

passwords uh you know you need to change them and  you give your passwords away uh to your savings  

account or something and then they steal all your  money yes well well the one at the moment is is  

people getting phone calls and they're being told  they have to pay a certain amount of money for  

the coveted vaccine over the phone so the person  will say hello and they say oh hello this is the  

health authority uh you you are going to have  your covered vaccine um we just have to tell  

you that you have to pay a deposit uh it's it's 50  pounds but you will get your money back afterwards  

can we please have your your your credit card  number and we will take 50 pounds from you now  

and then we will give it back to you later but  they won't because it's not real it's not true  

confidence tricks to somebody who  sounds very credible it sounds  

like the story they're telling you is true  absolutely they've they've got a way of of  

uh they're using their child they're using their  charm their personality and a lot of people lose  

their money this way particularly elderly people  uh be careful steve you have to be very careful  

yes that's true who you talk to on the phone  lisa wants to know how we pronounce the word  

it's mortgage it looks like mort gauge but it's  actually pronounced mortgage which of course is  

alone specifically used to purchase a house  so it comes from the word mort which which  

refers to house that's it so the gauge of the  price of your property is so so the mortgage  

as i understand it is it's it's all based in  other languages as as english often does you see  

so your mortgage is amount is the amount of  money that you often borrow to to buy your  

property and of course most people a lot of people  in the uk like to buy their own houses yes anyway  

and so it's very popular to have a mortgage well  yes well i'm only making that point because in  

other parts of europe it's more common to  rent property rather than buy it but in the uk  

although now because of the cost of property it's  becoming very very difficult to buy your own house
