Living with Shyness - English Listening - Are you a shy person?

well Leila there are many different types of personality there are people who are

very open they are very extrovert and there are

people who are very shy like me I I think I'm very shy sometimes timid mr.

Duncan that's a good word yes timid a person who is timid is shy they

are shy they are very timid many animals especially small animals very tiny

animals tend to be quite timid quite shy so they are easily scared or they don't

like to show themselves too openly just like people so some people are very

introvert whilst some people are very extrovert they like to show their

personality for everyone to see well I am a bit of both really so there are

times when I'm very extrovert such as during my live streams and there are

times when I'm quite introvert and shy and that's normally when I'm with people

I don't know so if I go to a party and there are lots of people there that I

don't know I'm not familiar with I can be very very shy and introvert isn't

that strange I don't know why it just happens to be a part of my personality I

guess could you tell as the things or

situations that make you shy how to resist this feeling well sometimes you

can't help being shy or you can't help be

a little timid so sometimes it is a thing that is a part of your nature so

sometimes it is not easy to fight it and sometimes it is best not to fight it so

it might cause conflict it might cause you to have problems with your own

personality or the way in which you view it so I I must be honest I find that my

my way of dealing with people tends to change depending on the situation so I

can stand up in front of hundreds of people and I can teach them and that's

not on the internet I'm on about in real life as well so I can stand in front of

people in a real situation and teach but when it comes to social situations if

I'm in a room with lots of people who I don't know I am terrible I can I can be

very very introvert so it takes a while normally for me to become relaxed it

takes a while for me to to become comfortable in that situation so once I

start talking to people I'm okay but it's always those first moments when you

arrive especially if you don't know who the people are and I don't like that

situation and I don't mind telling you that I feel very awkward in those

moments I certainly do mr. Duncan here at the live stream you are a very good

actor Thank You tsukete I'm not sure if I'm acting what you see is me so nothing

that you ever see is is pretend so I'm not acting now this is still me it's

just that when I'm in a situation where I meet people for the first time I feel

a little uncomfortable yes that's a very good point

Anna many actors despise their job they are timid

you will often find that people who are very extrovert certainly if they are

performers or actors or singers or maybe comedians in real life they tend to be

very shy very introverted so it is strange

so I've often thought that maybe my teaching style is my real personality so

I think this is what I'm really like and this is what I'm like when I feel

comfortable with people but if I don't feel comfortable with people it's a very

different situation altogether and if you are like that as well there is

nothing to be ashamed of it's it's normal many people tend to feel awkward

or uncomfortable in certain situations so there are many people who can't do

what I'm doing now so there are many people and I know this is true many

people who could never stand here in front of a camera talking live to people

on the internet but I can do it I don't know why I can do it I have no reason no

idea why I can do this but for some reason when I do this I feel comfortable

so yes it depends I think it depends on the type of personality that you have to

start with I think so.
