The letter 'r' is sometimes called the 'bossy R'

문자 'r'은 발음되기 전에 모음 문자에 영향을 미치기 때문에 '보시 R'이라고도 합니다

because it influences how the vowel letter before it is pronounced.

For example, this word is' gem'.

예를 들어 이 단어는 '보석'입니다.

Now, let's add an 'r' after the 'e', and the pronunciation changes to 'germ'.

이제 'e' 뒤에 'r'을 추가하면 발음이 'germ'으로 바뀝니다.
