Today we are going to look at the subjunctive mood. This is the verb form

used to express that something is important to express a recommendation or

a wish. And also to express an unreal or improbable condition in.

American English, both the present and past subjunctive forms are common.

In British English, the present subjunctive is often replaced by an alternative. But the past subjunctive

is commonly used in conditional two sentences and after expressions such as

'I wish' and 'if only'.

By the end of this lesson you will have a clearer idea of

how the subjunctive mood is formulated, when you must use it, and what
