Now, in the English alphabet,  there are twenty-six letters.

Now we have some more nouns.

These nouns are a little bit different.

Uhhh, when they’re singular it’s the same.

You put ‘a’ or ‘an’ in front.

আপনি সামনে 'a' বা 'an' বসান।

But when you want to make them  plural, you have to add ‘es’.

কিন্তু আপনি যখন তাদের বহুবচন করতে চান, তখন আপনাকে 'es' যোগ করতে হবে।

Remember, I said, you can add ‘s’ or ‘es’ to make a noun plural…more than one.

So again, these nouns you have to add ‘es’.

So, how do we know if we should put ‘s’ or ‘es’ to make the noun plural?

Well, for most nouns, you just have to put ‘s’.

Okay. So it becomes “churches”.

So again, if the noun ends in ‘ch’,

add ‘es’ at the end to make it plural.

The same goes for the next word “brush”.

You’ll notice “brush” ends in ‘sh’. Okay.

So if it ends in ‘sh’, same thing, we add ‘es’ at the end to make it plural.

Okay. The next word is 'fox'.

Now, most nouns that end in ‘o’, like “photo”,

all we have to do is add an ‘s’ to make it plural.

But these are special because we actually

Okay. The next noun is “seven match”.

What do we put?

Well, we have a ‘ch’. So we have to put “matches”.

Okay. And the last one is “one bat”.

We do not put an ‘s’ or ‘es’ because again, it’s just one.

In this video, we’re going to  talk about subjective pronouns.

এই ভিডিওতে, আমরা বিষয়গত সর্বনাম সম্পর্কে কথা বলতে যাচ্ছি।

So, let’s take a look at the board.

সুতরাং, এর বোর্ড কটাক্ষপাত করা যাক.

Here they are. The subjective pronouns.

এখানে তারা. বিষয়গত সর্বনাম।

Please take a careful look. They’re very important in English.

দয়া করে সাবধানে দেখুন। তারা ইংরেজিতে খুবই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।

Okay. So, the first subjective pronoun is ‘I’.

ঠিক আছে. সুতরাং, প্রথম বিষয়গত সর্বনাম হল 'আমি'।

“I” means me. “I’m Esther”.

"আমি" মানে আমি। "আমি ইস্টার"।

He Now, “he” is only used for boys or men.

So another boy or man is “he”.

The next one is “you”. “You” means you.

পরেরটি হল "আপনি"। "তুমি" মানে তুমি।

Okay. “you”.

We “We” means other people and me.

আমরা "আমরা" মানে অন্য মানুষ এবং আমি।

For example, “I sing”, “you sing”, then “we sing”.

উদাহরণস্বরূপ, "আমি গান করি", "তুমি গাও", তারপর "আমরা গান করি"।

Okay. “we”.

ঠিক আছে. "আমরা"।

And the last one is “they”.

এবং শেষটি হল "তারা"।

“They” means many people,  places, animals or things.

Okay. So, more than one.

If there’s more than one, we use  the subjective pronoun ‘they’.

Okay, so let’s practice together  with subjective pronouns.

ঠিক আছে, তাই আসুন বিষয়ভিত্তিক সর্বনামের সাথে একসাথে অনুশীলন করি।

The first sentence on the  board says, “Jenny sings”.

বোর্ডের প্রথম বাক্যটি বলে, "জেনি গান করে"।

Now Jenny is one girl.

এখন জেনি এক মেয়ে।

So we can say, “She sings”.

তাই আমরা বলতে পারি, "তিনি গান করেন"।

“Jack sings”. Jack is one boy.

"জ্যাক গেয়েছে"। জ্যাক এক ছেলে।

So we have to say, “he sings”.

তাই আমাদের বলতে হবে, "তিনি গান করেন"।

The last sentence says, “Jenny and Jack sing”.

শেষ বাক্যটি বলে, "জেনি এবং জ্যাক গান"।

Now Jenny and Jack are two people.

এখন জেনি আর জ্যাক দুজন মানুষ।

So we have to say, “they sing”.

তাই আমাদের বলতে হবে, “তারা গান গায়”।

Okay, let’s move on to the next part.

Okay, let’s do some more practice.

ঠিক আছে, আরো কিছু অনুশীলন করা যাক.

The first sentence on the board says,

বোর্ডের প্রথম বাক্যটি বলে,

“The cat runs”.

"বিড়াল দৌড়ায়"।

‘The cat’ is an animal, so we have to say, “It runs”.

'বিড়াল' একটি প্রাণী, তাই আমাদের বলতে হবে, "এটি চলে"।

The next sentence says, “The dog and cat run”.

পরের বাক্যটি বলে, "কুকুর এবং বিড়াল দৌড়ায়"।

Now, ‘the dog and cat’, they are two animals.

এখন 'কুকুর আর বিড়াল', এরা দুটি প্রাণী।

So anytime you have two or more  things, we say, “They run”.

সুতরাং যখনই আপনার কাছে দুটি বা ততোধিক জিনিস থাকে, আমরা বলি, "তারা দৌড়ায়"।

‘They’.

'তারা'।

Okay, now, for the last sentence, I’m  going to talk about my cat, Ongee.

ঠিক আছে, এখন, শেষ বাক্যটির জন্য, আমি আমার বিড়াল, ওঙ্গি সম্পর্কে কথা বলতে যাচ্ছি।

Ongee is a cat. He’s an animal.

Okay and I love him. And he’s like family.

So, “Ongee runs”. I can say “He runs”.

সুতরাং, "Ongee রান"। আমি বলতে পারি "সে দৌড়ায়"।

Okay. Let’s move on to the next part.

Okay, here are some more examples.

But, this time, you have to figure out the subjective pronoun together with me.

কিন্তু, এই সময়, আপনাকে আমার সাথে একসাথে বিষয়গত সর্বনামটি বের করতে হবে।

Okay. So, “My students study”.

ঠিক আছে. তাই, "আমার ছাত্ররা পড়াশোনা করে"।

What should we use?

আমরা কি ব্যবহার করা উচিত?

Well, ‘My students’, there’s an ‘s’. Right.

আচ্ছা, 'আমার ছাত্র', সেখানে একটি 's' আছে। ঠিক।

They’re people and there’s more than one.

তারা মানুষ এবং একাধিক আছে.

Many people.

অনেক মানুষ.

So we have to use the subjective pronoun, ‘they’.

তাই আমাদের বিষয়ভিত্তিক সর্বনাম ব্যবহার করতে হবে, 'তারা'।

“They study”.

"তারা পড়াশোনা করে"।

The next example.

পরবর্তী উদাহরণ.

“John is handsome”.

"জন সুদর্শন"।

Okay, ‘John’, that’s a person.

ঠিক আছে, 'জন', এটা একজন ব্যক্তি।

There’s only one. Right…

সেখানে মাত্র একটি. ঠিক আছে...

And it’s a boy, ‘John’.

আর এটা একটা ছেলে, 'জন'।

So what should we use?

তাই আমরা কি ব্যবহার করা উচিত?

We have to use the subjective pronoun, ‘he’.

আমাদের বিষয়গত সর্বনাম ব্যবহার করতে হবে, 'সে'।

One boy. We say, “he”.

একটা ছেলে. আমরা বলি, "সে"।

“He is handsome”.

"তিনি সুদর্শন".

Okay, the last one. “Pizza is delicious”.

ঠিক আছে, শেষটা। "পিজ্জা সুস্বাদু"।

‘Pizza’ is a thing.

'পিজ্জা' একটা জিনিস।

And there’s only one. Right.

এবং শুধুমাত্র একটি আছে. ঠিক।

There’s no ‘s’. One pizza.

কোনো 'স' নেই। এক পিজা।

We say, “it”.

আমরা বলি, "এটি"।

“It is delicious”. Okay.

"এটা সুস্বাদু". ঠিক আছে.

Let’s move on to some more examples.

আরও কিছু উদাহরণে এগিয়ে যাওয়া যাক।

Okay, the first example says,

ঠিক আছে, প্রথম উদাহরণটি বলে,

“Seoul is a city”.

"সিউল একটি শহর"।

Now, ‘Seoul’ is a place. Okay.

এখন, 'সিউল' একটি জায়গা। ঠিক আছে.

So we have to use the subjective pronoun, ‘it’.

তাই আমাদের বিষয়ভিত্তিক সর্বনাম ব্যবহার করতে হবে, 'এটি'।

“It is a city”.

"এটি একটি শহর"।

The next example says,

পরবর্তী উদাহরণটি বলে,

“My parents love Ongee”.

"আমার বাবা-মা ওঙ্গিকে ভালোবাসেন"।

Now, ‘Ongee’ is my cat. “My parents love Ongee”.

এখন, 'Ongee' আমার বিড়াল. "আমার বাবা-মা ওঞ্জিকে ভালোবাসে"।

Well, ‘my parents’, they are two people. My mom and my dad.

আচ্ছা, 'আমার বাবা-মা', তারা দুজন মানুষ। আমার মা এবং আমার বাবা.

So, what do I use?

তাই, আমি কি ব্যবহার করব?

I have to say, “they”. “They love Ongee”.

আমাকে বলতে হবে, "তারা"। "তারা Ongee ভালোবাসে"।

The last example is very  similar to the second one.

শেষ উদাহরণটি দ্বিতীয়টির সাথে খুব মিল।

“My parents and I love Ongee”. Okay.

"আমার বাবা-মা এবং আমি ওঞ্জিকে ভালোবাসি"। ঠিক আছে.

The difference is… it says, “and I”.

পার্থক্য হল... এটা বলে, "এবং আমি"।

So this is ‘my parents’ with ‘me’.

তাই এই 'আমার বাবা'র সাথে 'আমার'।

So I have to say, “we”. “We love Ongee”.

তাই আমাকে বলতে হবে, "আমরা"। "আমরা Ongee ভালোবাসি"।

Okay. All of us.

Okay, so, in this video we  learned about subjective pronouns.

So we can’t have those things be a student.

All you have to do is put  the ‘be’ verb in the front.
