COUNTRY NAMES IN ENGLISH | Ending in the Schwa

Here we are in my bathroom for an English lesson. A lot of the country names end in the letter A,  

여기 우리는 영어 수업을 위해 화장실에 있습니다. 많은 국가 이름이 문자 A로 끝나며

in American English those are all schwa. So for example, we have China, ə. 

미국 영어에서는 모두 슈와입니다. 예를 들어 중국, ə가 있습니다.

We have Russia, ə. We have Indonesia, we have  

러시아가 있습니다, ə. 우리에게는 인도네시아가 있고

Australia which sound similar to Austria,  and as a kid I sometimes got that mixed up. 

오스트리아와 비슷하게 들리는 호주가 있습니다. 그리고 어렸을 때 가끔 헷갈렸습니다.

You probably can't see Austria from there can you? It's very small compared to Australia. 

아마 거기에서 오스트리아를 볼 수 없겠죠? 호주에 비하면 아주 작습니다.

Let's see, we have India, ə. We have  

보자, 우리는 인도, ə. 우리는

Libya, ə. Romania, ə. 

리비아, ə를 가지고 있습니다. 루마니아, ə.

Angola We got Nicaragua, ə. 

앙골라 우리는 니카라과를 얻었습니다, ə.

Argentina, ə. So many country names  

아르헨티나, ə. 많은 국가 이름이

end in the letter A, in American English we  pronounce that as a quick unstressed schwa, ə.

A로 끝나는 경우가 많습니다. 미국 영어에서는 이를 강세가 없는 빠른 슈와(ə)로 발음합니다.
