Simple Present vs Present Progressive: English Grammar you can Master

I cook soup. Now, English has a lot of verb  tenses. ‘I cook soup’ is simple present and we  

can use this to mean something general. I cook  soup. I cook eggs. I don't cook casseroles. If  

I say, ‘I'm cooking soup’. Now we've got present  progressive, that means right now, there's a start  

to it, an end to it, and I am cooking chicken  noodle soup. So we can think of simple present  

as something we can use to describe something in  general. For example, ‘I love you’. In general,  

there's no start, there's no end. But if I say,  ‘I'm loving this cooler weather'. That means,  

right now, there is a start, there is an end.  The cool weather won't last forever, and I  

might get tired of it, but right now, present  progressive, I am loving this cool weather.
