and describe our message in English and that’s fine.

Using varied words can help improve your English fluency.

One of these negative words in English is the vocabulary word hate.

Hate can mean: To feel a strong dislike for something.

Let’s learn some other words to use instead of hate.

Number 5: Can’t stand.

The phrase “I can’t stand something,” can be used

instead of I hate something.

Let’s see some English sentence examples: I can’t stand spice food.

This means that you really don’t like spicy food.

This is just an example.

Maybe some of you like spicy food but you can replace spicy food with something that

you dislike.

Number 4: Abhor, Abhor.

I abhor something.

This word isn’t used a lot but is well understood by people.

This is kind of a fancy way to express hate.

Here’s an example.

Hey Danny, do you want some coffee?

Actually, I abhor coffee.

I can’t stand the taste of coffee.

So if you want to sound a bit fancy use abhor instead of hate.

Number 3: The next English vocabulary word that means hate is loathe, loathe.

Instead of using the word hate try using loathe.

Here is an example.

I loathe driving in the city.

It always makes me nervous.

Number 2: The next word you can use instead of hate is disdain.

Disdain means a lack of respect and strong dislike for something.

Often distain is used in a way of having disdain for something.

Here’s an example: Criminals disdain the law.

I have disdain for people who cheat on tests.

Number 1: Deplore, Deplore.

Deplore means to feel or express strong disapproval of something.

Here’s an example of deplore in a sentence.

Teachers deplore bad behavior in the classroom.

I deplore rude people.
