Everyone loves shopping. Shopping can be fun interesting and well: needed. Shopping

is one of the most important activities people do. So, let's learn English words

let's learn together. The first shopping word is price. Price is how much something,

like a product or service costs. I bought this shirt at a good price. What's the

price of that car? the car cost $5,000. Next up, is the word afford. Afford as a

verb, means to have enough money to pay for something. Some example sentences for

afford are: I can't afford a new car right now. I don't have enough money.

Let's take a trip. I'm sorry I can't afford a trip right now. Our next word is,

EXPENSIVE. Expensive is an adjective and it means costing a lot of money. This

store is expensive. I think that restaurant is too expensive. It's

overpriced. Now let's look at the word Bargain. Bargain as a noun means:

something is on sale at a lower price than its true value. You may hear people

say what a bargain. For example, if you are at a store and a sign says you can

buy two t-shirts for $15, but normally two t-shirts cost $20. It's a bargain!

You have saved $5. You can say what a bargain. The next word is "A STEAL."

Stealing or taking something without paying for it is bad, but if someone

tells you that they bought something for a steal that is a

good thing. It means you did not pay much for something. The meaning of a steal as a

noun, is very similar to bargain. It means that you bought something for so cheap

that it feels like you stole it. For example, look at this shirt. It's only $10.

That shirt is really cheap. That shirt is a steal. You should buy it. Next up is:

overprice. The verb overprice and the adjective overpriced. Overprice as a

verb means, to put too high a price or value on something. For example, the store

was overpricing its products. Over priced as an adjective means: something

is too expensive costing more than it's worth.

For example, I like this coat but I think it's overpriced. Hey, what about these

shoes? They're nice, but a bit overpriced. The next word is, RIP OFF. Rip off is when

you think something is so overpriced that it is unfair. You can call something

a ripoff, if you feel like someone is cheating you and you are angry about it.

I would never buy a branded t-shirt for $100. That is such a rip off! Hey, are you

going to the concert next week? No way! The ticket price is a rip off. Next up, is

window shopping. Window shopping, sometimes called browsing, is a bit of an

old term with the internet nowadays. Well I'll explain it anyway. So, window

shopping means spending time looking at goods on sale in shop windows without

intending to buy any of the products. Here's an example: hey you want to go

window shopping downtown? Sure, that sounds like fun.

Now let's look at the word browsing. Browsing is similar to window shopping.

Browsing happens inside the store. Browsing is when you just look around in

a store and you may or may not buy something. So for example, if a store

clerk comes to you and says can I help you find something? You can respond with:
